Bad transfer!

I had this audiobook on tape from when it was originally released, but as far as I can tell, there no mastering done on the tape trance and it was not handled by experts or from a master tape.). Skip this. Good story and Barbeau is a good reader but the mastering (or lack or it) destroys this.

Well read but dissapointing

I would Love to have The whole trylogy, I have read it times and times again . This version is really dissapointing, however well read. I will not buy The next one

Good for abridged version

After having read the original book years ago, it was nice to hear a fair reading. It would have been better if it had not been abridged.

I Love this Story

I have read this Story so many times. I was sad it was Abridged but my Brain added the extra parts. The rewrite for this version was done well. The narrator was very good, the audio quality was iffy. But Still a wonderful Listen.

first few minutes the audio needs adjustment...

It dus clear up but was obviously recorded from cassette tapes, but I have heard worse recordings.

the audio recording is poor and rushed.

I have always enjoyed this book. poor recording, speaker going too fast. I had to slow the playback time. I wondered a few times if this was abridged.

You get what you pay for

Loved the series. Didn’t know it wasn’t unabridged Some of the fun scenes were left out which made me dislike the narration

AUDIOBOOK IS SO CUT OUT THAT BOOK IS BARELY READ

BOTH THE CRYSTAL SINGER & KILLASHANDRA AUDIOBOOKS ARE SO CHOPPED & CUT UP THAT THE BOOK IS HARDLY...RECOGNIZEABLE. SO MUCH OF THE BOOK IS LEFT COMPLETELY OUT OF THE READING. I WAS EXTREMELY DISSAPPOINTED...AND HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR A COMPLETE " " UNABRIDGED" AUDIOBOOK RECORDING THAT I COULD PURCHASE TO REPLACE THE CHOPPED UP AUDIBLE VERSION...

The Crystal Singer Trilogy by Anne McCaffrey, The Crystal Singer, Killashandra, Crystal Line, is one of my all time favorite collections that is as memorable as JJR Tolkien's The Hobbit, Mary Stewart's The Crystal Cave Merlin Trilogy, the Star Wars Trilogy in Books & Movies, and Dragonlance Chronicles books...

Abridged

It covered the book , but slashed the writing. Without the writing it wasn't exactly a McCaffery sounding book. That was utterly disappointing.

An old fave

Loved it the first time around. Big fan of Anne. Forgot how short it was though. Still a great story. On to book 2.
