Wonderful, imaginative story
Have not read any other of Piers Anthony's works -- this one kept my attention through its entirety. A friend recommended this many years ago -- (not even sure if I finished it then!) Was elated when I found it on Audible -- I was not at all disappointed (narration was excellent).

Piers Anthony does it again!!!!
On a Pale Horse is one of the best books I have read in my entire life. I have read it 4 or 5 times and now have listened to it on Audible, which I am also so very glad I have gotten. Probably the... No it is the best app I pay for and the one I probably use the most. But back to this book. GET IT. You have to listen to the awesome world of the Incarnations of Immortality. The concept is so appealing you will find yourself wishing you had a chance to even just know an Incarnation. Get this book, you will not regret it.

I read this book many years ago. I've read it a few times, it never gets old. Piers Anthony is one of my favorite writers of all time, this series proves it. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

Awesome book!
I read this book back in the 80’s and loved every word. I went on to read the entire series. The first five books are a pure delight.
I found the narrator to be absolutely perfect for the tone of this book. A great read/listen at any age!

Magic and Science fighting for control
In a world where Magic and Science, offer their wares and compete for the almighty dollar, under the surface Satan uses his influence draw people to evil so he can claim their souls. The personification of evil is killed in the line of duty and his predecessor must now learn to be the new Grim Reaper and avoid the influence and out right control of Satan.
I thought this book was a lot of fun and it was a really cool concept. the performance was good. I enjoyed most of the series but this one was by far my favorite.
