If all the books on screenwriting and writing in general that I have read, this is the only book that covers flat arc characters. worth reading for that alone.

Flawless.
Expert insight for any level writer on building a solid path through character arcs and structure. Novels or screenplays, K.M Weiland leads with examples with a mix of movies and literature. Very easy to listen to. I recommend checking out her YouTube channel. Great stuff on there for free. Her StudioBinder video on Three Act Structure Explained brought me here.

Illuminating!
I've often wondered why some stories work even though the protagonists don't change much. This book cleared it up for me in a simple way. If you've read other screenwriting/story books, you won't be disappointed in how Weiland explains her take on character. It's all about the "lie". I will be listening again when I need a refresher.

Complete Master Class in creating great story arcs
I'm not even a writer (yet, lol). I've recently become interested in the art of storytelling to better understand why I enjoy some of my favorite stories and characters as much as I do. Not only did this book help me accomplish that motive, but I also learned a great deal about the formula used to make those characters so obsession worthy. I would recommend this book to any writer or aspiring writer. I feel like this book has a lot to offer regardless of your experience level.

Excellent!
I have listened to this book 3 times, because every time I hear it, I learned something new. The narrator was so good, that I had to buy all the rest of K. M. Weiland‘s books. K. M. Weiland knows how to write an excellent book, and Sonja Field knows how to narrate in a way that packs a punch.
