About this listen

A brand new, deliciously wicked romance series from USA Today best-selling author Kerrigan Byrne. The Goode Girls are aren't simply good, they're stunning.

Doctor Titus Conleith emerged from his time as a battlefield surgeon with a mysterious fortune, a lethal secret, and a demon on his back. Ruthlessly intelligent, he was able to lift himself from his beginnings as coal-stained bastard through merciless discipline and inexhaustible skill. Alone by choice, he swore never to open his heart to another. Not after Honoria Goode. The heiress who shattered his hopes and then tread upon the shards of his heart with her bejeweled slippers. The beauty with whom he shared his first taste of passion, before she gave her hand to another.

The woman whose life he just saved from bleeding out on his table....

Honoria’s life as a viscountess has been nothing but a misery she’d brought upon herself with her own cowardice. Trapped for years in a loveless marriage to a cruel rake, she has been widowed by the consequences of his villainy. Now, she must face the man with the blazing golden eyes of the boy she once worshiped, and the dark past they both share.

As their passion reignites with the same fervor of their youth, Honoria can’t help but begin to wonder....

Will he allow her the second chance she doesn’t deserve?

Yes!!!!

An amazing book. Heartbreaking Heartwarming and breath taking all in one package. I LOVED Titus. The heroine slightly annoyed me, at tad, but came together in the end. The only thing that would have made it near perfect would have been a baby🥲
Sue me I am traditional. Ha ha definitely worth the read also the audible version had TWO amazing narrators I really enjoyed that. Kerrigan Byrnes Victorian Rebel series is one of my favorites and the Goode Girl series bleeds seamlessly together, so if you have read them all you get to revisit some of your favorite hero’s! Definitely recommend.

LOVE the Dual Narration

I love Kerrigan Byrne and Derek Perkins is a great narrator and has a wonderful voice however, he (like most male narrators) cannot do female voice to save his life. (Bless his heart, but when he tries to do the female voices, he sounds like what I imagine the wolf pretending to be the grandmother in Little Red Riding Hood sounds like.) It was SO WONDERFUL to have both a male and female narrator! It really added to the listening experience! I think I’ve listened to this book four times already. Stella Hunter is really good! She’s very natural and pleasing to listen to! I wish all romance novels would use dual narration!!

Just okay

I love the combination of Kerrigan Bryce and Derek Perkins but this new format was something I’m not sure about. I didn’t like Stella Hunter’s over the top “acting” for her part of the narration- give me back Derek Perkins - 100%!

Wonderful!!

Great dual narrators! Titus is swoon-worthy and I haven't read or listened to a Kerrigan Byrne book I didn't enjoy.

Loved it!

Loved it! Carlton & Dorian were there with their droll, sardonic banter. 😄 I hope old & beloved characters continue to make appearances throughout the series! The duet narration by Derek Perkins & Stella Hunter was fantastic! I'm onto the next!

Fun romance from KB

Really enjoyed the two narrators. It made each chapter more fun to listen to & the voices blend well. I really enjoy KB’s writing and I am moving fast through her collection of books

Another Masterpiece from Kerrigan Byrne

It’s always a wonderful day when a new Kerrigan novel comes out, and this one does not disappoint. Though I was looking forward to Derrick Perkins’s solo narration, I got used to Derrick and Stella reading as a duet and they are great!

Kerrigan has a skillful way of ripping my heart out of my chest and piece by piece, reassembling it by the end of her novels. I have come to love the torment, redemption, and sweeping gothic world that can only exist in one of her books.

Now I will say I am a bit greedy and would have loved a longer book, but that is only because I never want to put hers down. I am looking forward to the next installment in this series and am hoping that we see a certain French someone very soon! ;)

Hints of More to Come

This story is not up to Ma Byrnes’ usual stands, but introduces the Fauves who hint of interesting books in the future. I did not like the ‘duet’ reading. I found the female reader distracting and insipid. Derek Perkins is the perfect reader of both male and female characters. Alone.

Alright but too short

I bit on the short & light side comparing to Kerrigan Byrne's Devil series. I wanted to see a bit more realistic suffering, it almost seemed like a watered down version of the real thing. For example, we are led to believe that [SPOILER] Nora's husband abused her. And then it turns out he only ever verbally threatened her. And we're supposed to believe that this could have a significant effect on such a strong woman as Nora is portrayed to be? Just does not seem believable.[END SPOILER]

On the bright side, the narrators were great, the addition of Stella Hunter was an excellent choice.
