About this listen

"Do you know what a papal conclave is?"

Damon: Will is gone. He hasn't been seen in months, and the texts coming from his phone are almost certainly forged. Something's wrong. We need to act now.

Michael is ready to tear down The Cove, Rika's hiding something, Evans Crist is a threat, and Winter's father is still out there. Everyone is off in a million directions, and we're vulnerable. It's time to do this. It's time to claim our place.

Rika: A few years ago, I never thought I'd be here. On board Pithom. Miles out at sea. At a table with Michael Crist, Kai Mori, and Damon Torrance - men I now consider family.

We've locked ourselves on this yacht for however long it takes to address our agenda, and we won't leave until everything is on the table. Even things I don't want to talk about. Things Michael doesn't know.

We will find Will. We will solidify our plans, and we will remove any threats. If we survive Conclave.

Contains mature themes.

The perfect transition to the next book.

Well this is one novella I was not expecting to like as much as I did! It gave me exactly what I needed as far as an update on how things were going with Damon and Winter as well as him and Rika. I was not expecting that little twist with Rika and Michael but hey I got more of Michael basically professing his undying love and obsession with Rika so I'll take it! Seriously, I can never get enough of the things he says to her about how she is his entire world. It's my favorite thing about them haha!
Oh and the engine room?? WORTH IT.

Good segway

This was a good Novela. It provided details about Rika and Michael and gave us a glimpse into Damon and Willows life. His animosity with his birth mothe is sad but understandable.

Intermission

The Devil’s Night Series is based on four friends and their love interests. Michael Crisp (Erika Fane), Kai More (Nikova Banks), Daman Torrance (Winter Ashby), and William Grayson III (Emory Scott).

THOUGHTS:
These books are more like a good intermission to the four main books that were written in The Devil’s Night series. They are short and give a little more insight into their lives.

I love the crew.

I enjoy this series so much because I loved following the characters through their lives and I always looked forward to catching up with them in the next book.

Hot Story

Conclave was a great, short story to round out a little bit of this series and I'm glad that someone suggested to me not to skip it like I originally planned. This story starts of HOT and it morphs into a deep story that just really helps plant some roots and shows the depth of the friendships that these characters have for each other despite all of the tragedy and pain they have both inflicted and overcome. The bonus scene was absolute perfection and really tied up the book well.

When you have to work it out, remove distractions.

There're some things that the group needs to clear the air about - so a conclave is called. They will be placed together, in seclusion from others, until they work their stuff out.

Tensions are high as unresolved issues are brought to light, and the characters are forced to confront their inner demons and past mistakes. Relationships are tested, alliances are questioned, and each character's motivations are revealed. This intimate and intense setting allows for a deeper understanding of the characters and their dynamics, setting the stage for the next chapter in their journey.

Short and sweet

I liked the ideal of Daemon not being so mean and aggressive and looking forward to father hood. Now where is Will is the real question

The POVs

I LOVED THE DAMON AND RIKA POVS it shows their sister bond and I loved Damon and his humor, I hated him in corrupt and hideaway but now I have a soft spot for him. My fav has always been Will Grayson iii so I’m so excited to start nightfall!
