Remington and Brynlee were together for eleven years, then she suddenly broke off their engagement and left town. Two years later, she returned.
It was hard on Remington Calaway when Brynlee broke off their engagement and left town. But hearing she married someone else six months later was devastating. He learned to live with it after a while, and kept himself busy running the family restaurant and bar with his brother.
The final straw was when Brynlee moved back to town and bought the struggling coffee shop down the street from Remington’s restaurant. After two years of trying to avoid her in the tiny town of Calaway Crossing, they made a truce. They would put the past aside and be cordial to one another.
