Her clientele grows to include the many farm animals in the town, including a horse named Large Marge, a cape-wearing therapy alpaca, and a yardful of sweater-wearing goats. Add in Kevin, the “worst sheepdog in Blue Dog Valley,” and a Sphinx cat named Airport, and Goldie is having the best time a vet can have. . . aside from the annoying attractive town grump, Cohen, who seems intent on making sure she always feels like an outsider.

With her newfound goodwill, Goldie comes up with an idea to reinvigorate the once flourishing Blue Dog Valley: a Christmas carnival. A petting zoo, pictures with Santa, a baking contest, what more could they want? After only some brief resistance from Cohen and his father, they begin the great plan to reinvigorate Blue Dog Valley.

Will Christmas be enough to salvage this dying town—and be enough to bring Goldie closer to a certain grumpy man?

Great story

I really enjoyed it
Didn’t always love the performance but it grew on me. I’d look for other books by her

Wonderful, just what I needed, lots of laughs

And feel good moments. This is a must for any animal lover or those that just like a truly wonderful story with great characters of all ages in a quaint little town. My first by this author but I’ve already purchased more. She continually blends big city & little town with every day problems that people incur. Great narration too.

Really Enjoyed my time in Blue Dog Valley

I really enjoyed this book - great mix of animals and people. Good small town story, not as cheesy as I feared it might be. I’d be happy to return for more adventures with these characters!

Christmas and blue dog Valley

Great story great character, very realistic. I love the animals. The town dynamic. The romance. The narration was spot on. Highly recommend it. I’ve read several by this author but I believe this is my favorite.

Yes, I figured the end result would be that Goldie and Cohen got back together.
But what I liked was the fact that this book was super sweet without being sappy!
