This series is so enjoyable.

I really enjoy this series. I got the first three books in a 3 bundle deal and was so happy when the characters and stories turned out to be a score. It’s has humor, adventure, mystery (of course) and a splash of romance. Your really do get a lot. I particularly like how May’s family have grown with each book. In each story, we learn a bit more about her and love her a bit more too. The supporting characters are a treat too.

I would definitely recommend this series.

I’m really enjoying this series

Tonya Kappes has crafted another great storyline in her series. I’m really enjoying this series and continue to purchase more every time a have extra credits. Johanna Parker, as always, gave a stellar performance as she brought the story together and gave distinct voices to the characters. I highly recommend this book and series to fans of cozy mysteries.

Fun and an easy listen. I only wish it was Christian so I would see faith in action too.

Suspenseful

Wow! I enjoyed listening to this book, I never saw the ending coming to who done it. I always enjoy listening to the narrator, she does a great job with the voices of the characters, too!

A famous author visits the Laundry Club bookclub and ends up dead in the library. Mae West doesn’t believe the murderer is the town librarian so she investigates to help the police track down the clues.
An amusing and lucky amateur sleuth gets helped by various town people to figure out how to stop Normal, KY from becoming infamous.
The very slow burn romance for Mae West takes a couple of steps forward.

🎧 I listened to the audio version narrated by Johanna Parker. I bumped my speed to 1.4, slightly faster than my norm since the southern slowness and accent is not a preference. That helped to get to normal talking speed for me. This method of reading is also preferred to avoid the text or editing errors that drag me out of the written version by this author. The performance is well done without and tonal problems.

Love all the books from the series thus far. Enjoy the narrator’s voice and the way she voices the characters.

Guessing to the end

What a surprise ending. Just when I thought the story had ended and the mystery solved there was a surprise twist. The story kept my attention from the beginning to the end.

Excellent fourth installment

This series is getting better as it goes along. The characters are being developed and the addition of new characters is easy as you have some consistent players you know.
The mysteries are short and quite easy to figure out but certainly fun reads. Johanna Parker does a fantastic job with narration. Very consistent in the voices for each character, which kind of makes me wish there was a little less “I said”, “Dottie said”’ etc. but that is the writing and not the performance.
