Heat, Tension and Threats Mount

I'm loving this series and am enjoying getting to know Sinclair, Malice, Grimsby and Chaos better with each book; they all seem to have interesting back stories which the authors are slowly revealing to us. Merri is also learning more about herself and the horseman, but not everything she learns is to her advantage.

I don't want to spoil things by revealing too much, but I will tell you that as Merri becomes stronger, her confusion about her abilities increases. Can she trust her "protectors"? As for Sinclair, Malice, Grimsby and Chaos, their confusion is evident; they know their task, but will they be able to complete it, and if they do, will it save Merri?

The chemistry between the four of them ramps up, and feelings begin to enter the equation, leaving the listener on tenterhooks waiting to find out what is going to happen next.

Meg and Kim have again written a book that’s impossible to stop listening to; they have given us glimpses into the lives of the Four Horsemen, as well as giving us the pleasure of listening to the best narrators, all of whom bring these unique characters to life. All the narrators are excellent and bring each of these very different characters to life. Stella Hunter as Merri, Lilith, Sunday, Rosie and Famine. Shane East as Grimm and Chrombie, Jason Clarke as Chaos, Tor and Caleb, James Joseph as Malice, Hook, Pan, Cristian and Noah and then there is JF Harding as Sin, Kingston Ben and Hades, each of them is incredible in their roles. They bring every emotion, gasp, and snarky comeback to life wonderfully. There are also special appearances by Teddy Hamilton, as Asher - Christian Fox as Remie, Cole and Lucifer - Lauren Landa as Andie and Greed, as well as cameo appearances by Arron Shedlock as Alec, John Hartley as Gavin and Kai and last but by no means least Samantha Brentmore as Dr Masterson and Kikie - All in all, a listening delight

If you have enjoyed the earlier books, you will not want to miss this amazing listen!

Chaos

Not exactly how these two do it, I really don't. But each time I start a new Mate Games world, I think to myself it can't be better than the last....and then they prove me wrong. We now have the Four Hoursemen of the Apocalypse...yup those guys...but they are not out to destroy the world, oh no they are tasked with saving it. If they can just get one thing accomplished. Oh and of course it's not going to be easy because well...why would it?
I absolutely loved the full cast narration. If you get a chance to listen to the audiobook do it, it will change your life

Chaos is book 2 of the MateGames: Apocalypse. you must read them in order. (it's not a hardship... trust me) My hell! this series is gonna be the death of me. I have loved every word that has been written, every sentence that has been read! I can't even begin to describe the level of joy this book brought out of me, but to be fair, Sin was just as delicious. there is no choosing a favorite. you take them all, and you love them equally.
We are back with our rage tag team of morally gray men, our deliciously sweet heroine, and a villain that is litterally Lucifer. We learn more about all the men (a.k.a, everyone's new book boyfriends) watching them become more transfixed by Merri. Chaos hooked me in immediately! I was captivated, and I didn't want the book to come to an end. like I am talking, abandon all responsibilities captivating. I, for one, will wait on pins and needles ready to devour book 3. Well done, ladies!

Oh my gosh!!!!! it was awesome!!! I have no words. They all nailed it! This full cast is straight-up perfection! If you have ever been on the fence about an audio. This would be the perfect book to dive into! I highly recommend it! HIGHLY!

Obsessed with the audiobook version!

Listening to Chaos: The Mate Games on audio took the story to a whole new level. The narrators did an amazing job bringing each character to life—the emotion, the tension, and the chemistry were all so vivid. I was completely immersed in the dark, addictive world, and the performance made it impossible to stop listening. If you love steamy fantasy romance with an edge and great narration, this audiobook is a must! Definitely one of my favorite listens this year.

I LOVE ALL OF THE MATE GAMES BOOKS!!! This one is amazing too!! This is one of many books in the Mate Games world. The entire series is split up into…. Seasons? Maybe? All are Why Choose?/Reverse Harem. So, the first “season” is The Mate Games: War, which consists of 4 books and a Novella. Then it goes to The Mate Games: Pestilence, which also consists of 4 books and a Novella. Next is The Mate Games: Death, which consists of 4 books.

This book is The Mate Games: Apocalypse Book 2 - Chaos. It is the continuation of the story about a succubus, Meredith Anne Devereaux (Merri), & the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: Death, War, Pestilence & Famine… AKA Grimsby (Grim), Chaos, Malice, & Sinclair (Sin). They all have chapters from their own POV. Lucifer is also a key player and does have POV chapters in the book as well. He wants his vessel and will not stop at trying to get to her. Continuing from Book 1 - Sin, the Horsemen are dead set on trying to stop the Apocalypse by breeding her before Lucifer can get her pregnant which would officially cause the end of the world if she births the Antichrist. They believe if one of the Four can get her pregnant first, they would win by stopping the apocalypse. In this book, they begin to realize maybe it’s not that easy. Folks are starting to catch feelings & things start to get more complicated. The one word that sticks out with this book is ANGST!!! It’s a killer in this one!

The spice in this book is sooooo good, as are all of the books in this series (and by these authors!)! Also, they do such a fun job of immersing you into this world. Once again, they bring back characters from the other “seasons” which keeps everything fresh and tied together so well. It really makes them all so much more fun to read! At the same time, it’s the literal apocalypse with natural disasters and princes of hell being released. It’s a nice balance between fun and terrible. I have fallen in love with each character so far. The girls in each season are so blessed with their men. Each little harem contain big personalities and so much love (& lust ❤️‍🔥). It’s truly a joy to see them all come together as a unit. I believe Apocalypse is the final “season.” In a recent live, they said it would have 5 books total. This book was released on 4/21/2025. The next one, Malice, shows to release July 14, 2025.

Now, the biggest treat of it all is the AUDIOBOOKS!!! They are truly phenomenal and fully duet style with a full cast! The best narrators are in this series! Jason Clarke (my absolute favorite after Father Gallagher in the very first book), JF Harding, James Joseph, Shane East, Teddy Hamilton, Stella Hunter… which, fun fact, I learned recently is also the author K. Loraine! The banter and chemistry between all these narrators is ahhhhmazing!!!!! You must experience these audiobooks! This series is one of my top favorite book series.

Also, more treats are the bonuses & extras! They have many bonus scenes for this series to be downloaded into BookFunnel, even full cast audio versions which are so fun to hear!! At the end of each book they give you the website to download the bonus scenes. The Mate Games actually has its own website which has book art of all the characters with their personal info and stuff like that. Need more now!

Another home run for this writing duo and audiobook cast. It’s not often I buy both ebook and audiobook, but this whole series from TMG War through Apocalypse has been automatic buys for both.

I really enjoyed this book. Probably more than book one. I love when they start to give into their feelings and take action. Even still, they are all hard nuts to crack! Can’t wait for book three!!

Oh! And absolutely flippin’ love the Operation PFFN sessions and all the previous cast cameos! Makes my heart happy!

Another Hit

These audiobooks are an amazing way to escape the world and are the ultimate entertainment. I have loved every single book in this series.

More on this later. But for now. This was exceptional!!!

Absolute audio perfection!

There is literally nothing I love more than spending much of a read/listen laughing out loud. Chaos: The Mate Games Apocalypse Book 2 delivered laughs in spades.

Sex comas. Cam girl comment sections. Dick flash mobs. Super secret underground book club meetings. Operation PFFN.

The SPICE. OFF THE SCOVILLE SCALE.

Lucifer. The end of the world. Appearances by prior Mate Games series characters.

But Chaos didn't just deliver on laughter and heat. There were poignant moments, painful moments, angst, and some very high emotional stakes for Grimsby and Malice. For everyone really...it's intensely personal now, and the group dynamics as well as the deep feelings developing make this twisty, turny tale that much more riveting.

As for the audiobook, no single clip can do it justice. I think Meg and Kim said "let's turn this up to 11" and the narrators said "Bet!" in their delivery.
Stella Hunter's sassy, sweet, seductive Merri. JF Harding's cheeky, charming, smooth-talking Sin. Jason Clarke's gruff, grumpy, gloriously undone Chaos. The growwwwl emanating from the man is next level.

James Joseph's deeply emotional performance as Malice and Shane East's pensive and reflective performance as Death himself. I was crying, not just laughing.

Christian Fox had me rooting for our villain, strangely enough, and Teddy Hamilton is perfection as always, along with some narrator cameos from past Mate Games series.

Technically, Apocalypse is the last series for The Mate Games universe, and I'm not ready for it to end. Not for the authors. Not for this narrating cast. Not for readers and listeners.

But goddamn, I can hardly wait for the next installment, Malice, releasing in July 2025.

If you're listening for the first time, do yourself a favor and start at the beginning with War. You're welcome.

I’ve never listened to a mate games I didn’t love and have so much fun listening to. Still top tier Fullcast duet narration perfection. SO MUCH better than graphic audio. You’ll have so much fun with anything Meg Anne and k Lorraine write.
