Publisher's summary

Released from jail on a bogus conviction for protecting a woman from domestic violence, Walter T. Foxx finds himself living in a garage with only his faithful hound, Adolf, still by his side. Assailed by scumbags, wannabes, and posers looking to increase their reputation by besting Walter in a bar fight, he protects himself with the minimum force necessary to win without being sent back to jail for probation violation and probable felony charges. Just when it seems that nothing will go his way, a chance meeting with someone who knows NHB matchmaker, Big Bart Shady, provides Walter with a possible berth in the NHB fight show on pay-per-view. His shot goes down the drain, though, when he attends the show as a spectator, gets into a drunken altercation with football hall of fame announcer, Tim Black, keeps NHB owner, Stewart Fish, up all night with a loud party in the room next door, and then confronts him the next morning in the hotel lobby not realizing who he is. Losing his only sponsor, Baton Sportwear, gained with the promise of him appearing on the next NHB pay-per-view show, Walter returns to Happening Beach in despair. His situation goes from bad to worse when an unscrupulous bar owner attempts to extort his entire life savings when his security camera records Walter defending himself from a drunken, pool-cue-wielding attacker in the parking lot. Walter knows that if he uses the last of his resources to pay his way out of trouble he will be left with no money, no hope and no future. With no one in Happening Beach on his side and with no clue of what to do with his life, Walter decides to go around Big Bart and his referee and assistant, Little Winchell Duncan, in a desperate attempt to get into the NHB or die trying!

Great Story That Needs a Human Narrator

I watched Tank/UFC 6 live, on pay-per-view. My buddies and I went wild watching him destroy physical giants, touting strange, exotic martial arts pedigrees. Super interesting to hear about the lead-up events to his debut. Abbott’s writing style is sparse, yet engaging. So much so, I powered through these in a few days. Although it gets a bit repetitive with all the “I’m a warrior and none of these posers or beggars understand me” stuff, I still enjoyed his succinct descriptions of his surroundings and characters. His dog Adolph is the best! Abbot is also a huge fan of air conditioning! My only complaint is the AI narration. It’s terrible, straight up! Abbott should narrate it himself or find someone else who can do a better job than AI. It would be TONS BETTER with a real human. I could give examples of how lame the AI is, but don’t let that stop you from getting this trilogy. It’s well worth it.

Great story

I enjoyed the adventures of “Walter Fox.” This is the third and final book of the series and I recommend you listen to all of them.

Awful narration

Tank Abbott is one hell of a writer. I know it’s loosely based on his own life, but I wish he would’ve had the confidence to narrate the books himself. The AI narrator is awful and messed the whole story up.
