About this listen

I'm a wolf shifter . . . who can't shift.

Twelve years ago, I was hobbled by my alpha, cast out of my pack, and forced into an unfriendly world without any protection. But I'm not exactly helpless.

Despite being unable to shift, I have talents the others don't have. I can see the spirits of dead people, for one. And I have a knack for fighting rogue supernaturals.

My ex-alpha will never let me back in, but there's another alpha in the city.

Something has been killing his wolves, and he wants me to destroy it before it takes another one. He'll triple my going rate—but that's not the thing that makes me agree to help him. He says he can free my wolf. It's not possible, but . . . what if it is?

I'll help him, either way. Monster hunting is what I do, and if there's a monster killing wolves, I will stop it. Because those two warring alphas might believe the city is theirs, but this is my territory.

The city embraced me when the packs wouldn't have me, and I will protect it—with or without my wolf.

I enjoyed the characters and the narrator! Seems there’s always more than meets the eye and once you throw in a persistent demon, all bets are off!

Broken Moon was a great opener!

i really enjoyed the energy of the story. Kate feels like a cross of two of my favorite heroines, Anita Blake and Mercy Thompson! excited for the next book!

the narrator is amazing! she gives so much emotion to the main character and I almost cried during parts of it from how much she made me love them. The story is great with excellent flow. Definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys supernatural themes.

While reading another series. Good, fast paced mysterious read. The narrator is good as well.

Just came across

Overall, I found this to be a fairly well-written series that is mostly enjoyable with decent narration. There are several plot holes in each of the books that are fairly annoying, but can be overlooked if you don't care too much. The author seems to rely heavily on using only the f-word as her form of profanity. It definitely gets old—to the point that it draws attention to it in a negative way. There are also some scenes that seem to be overly dramatic merely for the sake of conflict with end up producing eye-roll moments. I did end up losing interest after about the 3rd book because of these issues.

Entertaining with some flaws

This is an incredible story. I stayed up way too late listening to it, since every other moment reeled me in. Thank goodness book 2 is already available, or I would sorely disappointed until it was.

SO GOOD!!!!
