Generic Self-Help Book

This book didn't stay on topic. I read a vast amount of nonfiction, and I really prefer books to stick to their topics. This one felt like it ranged all over the map, also including more general self-help topics like productivity and time management and even things like sleep hygiene and nutrition. I like a book to promise what it's going to deliver and then deliver on that promise! I don't think enough time was actually spent on overthinking, which I'll admit is a problem of mine, and I was hoping this book would help! The author does include a few personal insights—a sentence or two here or there—but most of the book felt like a generic self-help book, with little of the author's voice, with no focus on the topic, and with too much information on concepts tangentially related (or not related at all) to overthinking. If you are truly looking for a book to help you with breaking the overthinking cycle, I recommend finding another one.
