Space Westerns! I love 'em
The story was great, and the interaction between the characters was hilarious at times. I'm looking forward to listening to more in this series.
That being said, I do have to add that the narrator has a bad habit of inhaling audibly, constantly. It sounds like a gasp, and it is constant. It's not for dramatic effect either. It doesn't matter what the words are, or what the tone is, or even if it's description or dialog.
Blah blah description description. ::gasp:: .blah, blah, description description.
or
"dialogue dialogue." ::gasp:: so and so said.
And it didn't matter if they were being angry, or snarky, or just simply talking about the weather.
It got old quick. But, the story was good.

Vivid characters, hilarious banter 👍🏼👍🏼
Loved it. I actually bought the sequel in paperback because I couldn’t wait for Audible. Got some good jazz references too. Excellent!

Fun and well developed characters.
I thought the characters were well developed. So often, characters act without any logical motivation, these fun guys were all given a true motivation for their feelings and actions. The world was fun and not just a copy paste version of generic sci fi. My only cringe was Hogan. He just felt too over the top at times. Maybe he just needs a little balancing. Thanks for a fun read.
