Publisher's summary

They say money can’t buy happiness.

Quinn Jacobs wasn’t sure, but she agreed. After all, she had everything she needed—the perfect marriage, loads of cash, and not a care in the world. So, it never dawned on her that she’d end up in her current situation.

Deceived and divorced.

After being betrayed by her husband and best friend, Quinn has no choice but to pick herself up and move on.

Tyson Reed might not have millions, but he’s got one thing money can’t buy.

Loyalty.

In the form of a large, loud, in-his-business family and dozens of friends. They’re all his, and he wouldn’t dream of changing that.

The last thing Quinn needs is to hop into another relationship, but when Tyson shows up to install her new security system, she finds him irresistibly charming. As Quinn tries to find a way trust a man again, Tyson works to heal her battered heart.

And as the sting of betrayal begins to fade, Quinn learns that loyalty is something that can never be bought.

Cunningham Security just keeps getting better!!!

I love Quinn and Tyson!

CJ Mission and Kit Swann did an incredible job as Tyson and Quinn! You are going to fall in love with these two as they portray these characters in Cunningham Security!
Quinn, after being devastated by her ex, she was determined not to fall for another man. She was not opening herself up like that again, or that was her plan! Tyson, he was intrigued by Quinn the first time he saw her and was determined to wiggle his way into her heart. He also knew Quinn wasn’t ready but he stayed close so when she was, he was there to piece her heart back together!

Quinn and Tyson

Quinn thought she had the perfect life until betrayal struck twice. It was bad enough her husband was a cheat, but her with her best friend!??! Ugh. When Quinn meets Tyson the sparks fly, but once bitten twice shy and all that. However, the charisma these Cunningham Security men exude is enough to break through even the toughest veneers. Tyson made Quinn feel seen and heard and willing to love again. Add in narrators Kit Swann and CJ Mission and we have a great story heating up our ears. These narrators brought Quinn and Tyson to life. They personified these characters so well.

Another engaging story in the series

We are back with the hunky guys of Cunningham Security in this latest addition to the series. A story that is “softer” than the previous ones , but just as good.
During Quinn Jacobs’s seven year marriage she was sure she had it all. A loving husband , money and friends. That all came tumbling down when her best friend and her husband betrayed her. Now divorced, she is determined to leave everything behind.
Moving to a new home, she feels a need of an updated security system and contacts Cunningham Security. When Tyson Reed is sent over, neither expected the attraction. But Quinn has been hurt before . Knowing her past, Tyson is determined to be patient and show her that second chances in love and life do exist.
Tyson was the perfect person to show her what her future could be.
This was another engaging and entertaining audiobook in this much loved series. One of my favorite things in the story was catching up with the characters from previous books.
Looking forward to the next one in the series.
The narrations of CJ Mission and Kit Swann bring the story to life.
I was entrusted a copy of this audiobook. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

A beautiful story of finding love after betrayal

Betrayed is an emotionally beautiful story of finding true love after a brutal betrayal. Quinn was betrayed in an unimaginable way by her husband and best friend, left heartbroken and defeated. Tyson shows up to Quinn's new home to install her security system and the two share an instant attraction. Quinn and Tyson form an instantaneous connection and he slowly starts to heal her broken heart, Tyson was just what Quinn needed to show her that love and loyalty are possible. Their chemistry is undeniable and their fondness of each other ignites sparks that can't be tamed. When Quinn's life is put in danger, Tyson rides in on his white stallion and as they say...the rest is history!

Tyson and Quinn

Quinn was betrayed, not only by her husband, but her best friend. She buys a house as she tries to pick up the pieces and her first night there, the faulty security system goes off, necessitating a visit from Cunningham Security. Tyson is called the task and he sees Quinn and can't help himself from wanting to see this strong woman smile and feel safe again.

I loved this story, as I do all of A.K. Evans' stories, but especially the emotional feeling into it. Quinn was betrayed by *those closest to her and she separated herself from getting close to anyone again, being so far from her family in Montana. How can she put her trust in Tyson and by extension, the great men and women of Cunningham Security and Tyson's large family?

Both narrators were excellent and fit Quinn and Tyson to perfection. But Kit Swann has an amazing male voice that gives you shivers of delight.

Have read/listened more than once

I love that it is so easy to read/listen to this more than once.. I have read this story a few times now but still find things I don’t remember from the first time through. I love that this shows to be strong even after the unthinkable happens.. and the bravery of “real” man that has patience and understanding.. and the bits of humor tossed in too.. and the narrators did awesome!!!

Could betrayal be a blessing in disguise?

After being betrayed by her ex-husband and best friend in the worst way, Quinn plans to move on with her life as a single woman focusing on her career. When her security alarm malfunctions on night one in her new home, Tyson ends up being just the person to fix her security problems and make sure she never feels scared again. He instantly feels drawn to Quinn, she isn't interested in a relationship. Tyson is a very patient man and knows that Quinn just needs time to trust again. It doesn't take Quinn long to realize that Tyson may just be one of the good ones.
I absolutely love how Tyson and his family embrace Quinn and make her feel every bit as special as she is. Tyson was so understanding of Quinn's insecurities from her previous relationship and never failed to be there to heal her heart. I also loves seeing Quinn and Cassie's relationship throughout the story, along with Cassie's side story with Tyson's brother. In the end, the betrayal Quinn experienced may just have been the best thing that could have happened to her, because it led her to Tyson. It also showed the true colors of her "best friend" and led her to the friends she truly deserves.

CJ and Kit did an AMAZING job with the audio and made it very enjoyable to listen to the story. I felt like they portrayed the emotions perfectly. I haven't been disappointed in any of the audio's in the series.

Swann and Mission are a Great Duo

I CANNOT rave enough about the Cunningham Security series by A.K. Evans! Tyson and Quinn tackle some pretty big issues on their path to each other, not the least of which are Quinn's trust issues stemming from the destruction of her marriage. With patience, a surprisingly nurturing streak, and a whole lot of really hot chemistry, Tyson puts in the work to show her that there are better men in the world who would be honored to give her the HEA she deserves. Performances by narrators CJ Mission and Kit Swann bring a whole lot of emotion to an already amazing plot. As always, Ms. Evans throws in some drama, a dash of danger, and a bit of intrigue to keep us on our toes, and appearances by beloved series characters only makes it that much better. The eighth installment of the series is a total win!

Love the series but not a big fan of this one

I'm not a fan of the female narrator in this one but overall this couple just did not bring the "feels". Did not gel and all come together for me this time. But overall outstanding series!
