Very entertaining suspense, romance, performance
I love the way this story unfolds. I love the characters, the setting, the suspense, the romance (though I'm not a fan of the steam), and the way this story wraps up. This book has a lot of suspense and action that kept me really tuned into the story. I love the happy ending and look forward to more in the series! The performance is excellent.

Military Romance
3.5 stars. The plot was good, but the MCs were unrelatable. The FMC, Scarlett, grew up in a cult and ran away from an arranged marriage. As an adult, she moved to a small town not far from where she was from and changed her name. I don't understand why she’s supposed to be in hiding and has an Instagram account!
The MMC, Trace, was dealing with heavy trauma. He kept pushing Scarlett and his close friends away because he felt he was too damaged. It was cliche, but there were some good action parts.
