About this listen

***A LitRPG Progression Fantasy Epic***

Beneath the light of three moons, the world of Aster Fall lies shattered. Classes are broken, Outsiders are invading, and the future is unknown. The ancient guardians have left and no one knows where they have gone. The fate of the world lies with one young man. Sam Hastern.

His family has been cursed by a broken class for the last fifty years. No one has ever managed to level it, condemning them to the lowest paying jobs and life in a barren village. It is called Battlefield Reclaimer. The only information he has is the class description that it is an ancient enchanter and smith, along with a quest to seek out a battlefield and learn how to reclaim the artifacts of the past.

There's one more little problem. Sam's about to have it even worse when a dungeon exploration leaves him looking distinctly non-human.

All he wants is to protect his family and study magic, but to do that, he'll learn ancient magic and walk in the footsteps of the old rulers of the galaxy.

A Titan is rising, and the Primal Void is coming with him.

*In this work, you'll find leveling, crafting, experience-based progression, rare classes, class evolutions, and strange races. The world runs on mana crystals, beast cores, spirit veins, alchemical pills, and enchantments. The environment is hostile and filled with monsters and elemental storms.

Great Story and Performance

This book is a great read and listen. John and Stephanie do a really great job bringing the tone and emotions out of the characters. David is a great story teller, I was always on the edge of my seat through its entirety. I cant wait for the next one.

What I look for in litrpg... nifty!

very fun story... it got a little full of numbers at the end of the book... but still really love the story and the voice acting.

Solid 4/5 star book. Very immersive.

I am not a fan of short/rushed stories. A proper story takes time to properly tell. Here is what you find in this book. Very detailed. It flows at a wonderful place. Immersing you into the story. Getting you well acquainted with the characters. The world system and leveling is well thought out. There is a great variety of creatures. No well defined main antagonist yet. Just a couple hidden in the background so far. Personally; I feel that the hero can only be as good as the main antagonist makes him. So I'm still waiting for this series' Lex Luthor. But there are plenty of regular and higher powered mobs. With some really enjoyable battles.

This book goes to great lengths to make sure to establish a solid bedrock for the main characters, abilities, and world; to give a lot of depth to the story ahead. Still allowing time for a quality villain to show up soon. The MC is a likeable character. He isn't a complete imbecile (like are found in some other series). He is young; but seems to have a good start. He is learning as he goes. His abilities are being earned. Growing at a nice pace. with the different abilities and world magics being nicely thought out and detailed as well. Showing tons of potential; as well as plenty of directions for this story to go. Definitely a series worth taking the time to delve into.

Now I need more. Book 2 please.

Great mix of battle and crafting

Great story! Well written with a great mix of battle and crafting. Solid narration I do hope the kids voice mature as we go on. Like the family dynamic.

Low key Amazing

This series doesn't get nearly enough credit. It's amazing! Love it's unique take on the genre l, the leveling system in particular. The MC and supporting cast are really well developed. I especially appreciate the lack of constant character sheets and level up notifications

Loved it again

It too bad that Travis Baldree couldn’t do the whole series, but the new narrators were amazing and the story was still great the second time.

A second Release

I enjoyed this book so much I bought the re-release.
I also love a good duel narrative. And the narrator are good… excluding a certain dwarven battle cry, or maybe that’s just a great battle cry?

good book, unrealistic character design.

overall good premise, but the bit with the second group and the wizard was unrealistic and felt very soulless.

First Audiobook I’ve Listened To

I’ve been a frequent LitRPG reader for the past 2 years, but this was the first Audiobook I’ve picked up, and wow I’ve been missing out.

David does an exceptional job with his descriptions, I was able to easily conceptualize what is going on that is even further developed by the fantastic narrator.

The story is engaging balancing character development, combat, and crafting. The magic system and the “System” (World Law) both come across as unique. The bond between father and son with the emphasis on family is great too.

Do yourself a favor and give this book a shot. I have it queued up to read on my Kindle.

A lesson on family

This story is great listen and imparts a great lesson on what/who to hold dear in life. The performance is a little shaky for the female character( only a couple of cringe screams) but overall a great distinction between all characters in dialogue. The world is interesting with its mechanics for skills being unique but still simplistic and easy to understand. In conclusion I say it’s worth the credit and I plan to purchase the next installation of the series, hope to see you there🤞
