Publisher's summary

Still haunted by her encounter with the Taleen Praetorians, Ilea makes her way south to join the Shadow’s Hand and hone her skills. Having fought alongside members of the infamous mercenary order, she hopes to meet kindred spirits who share her completely reasonable passion for battle, adrenaline, and near-death experiences.

She is looking for a team to rely on, to punch, and get punched by. Because every "friendly yet bloody" sparring match levels her resistances and makes her a little bit harder to kill. She might even stick around for a while. So long as the food is good.

This guild of high-level warriors is the perfect place to grow and recuperate. To take a breath after the nonstop elven attacks, dungeons, necromancers, and Taleen murder machines. Ilea jumps headfirst into her newfound challenge, unaware of the fresh dangers already beginning to stir throughout Elos. Even their Shadow’s Hand training will not prepare Ilea and her new team for what’s to come.

After all, there’s always another Drake.

About the series: Join Ilea as she is transported to a world full of monsters and magic, where power is measured by one's class, level, and skills. Watch her grow in power, and recklessness, as she wields ancient hand-to-hand combat magic that can both heal and destroy. This Isekai story has a dual-class LitRPG system where every skill, class, and ability can evolve. Ilea’s tale is equal parts comfy slice-of-life wanderings, goofy jokes, and brutal, blood-pumping battles with nightmarish monsters. Join her as she delves into forgotten dungeons, hoards snacks, and generally does whatever she feels like.

stop chuckling ffs

I like the story alot, and in general the narration is pretty good. But the constant chuckling after and during every other line is just annoying. I was hoping the narrator would have cut it out after the first one, but sadly no. unless the text for these reads HAHAHA every third word, there is no reason to be injecting that much really fake chuckling into the narration just to punctuate the space. like, its ok, just read the words.

Awesome book. can't wait for the next one.

Action packed and very enjoyable from start to finish.
Also does a good job of skipping over a lot of the random level up messages that seem to drag on and on in other litRPG titles.

Enjoying the series so far

The characters have a good variety to them and are all well written. I’m enjoying the adventure so far.

I do like the narrator’s voice but feel like she narrates a bit too fast sometimes.

Two books compressed into one? Spoilers

Although this book tries to expand on the world and its mechanics, it mostly fails to live up to the expectations set by the first book.

Mc feels nerfed

Added more characters which is somewhat necessary, but it takes away from the MC more than other works I’ve read/listened to.

Most of the world isn’t really explored because half the book takes place around the school, while the other half has the MC, two side characters, and Aki stranded in another dimension.

There is also a six month time skip which felt needed, but took away from the pacing.

This is a great series

I love this main character..she gets transported to another world no clue how or why...and rather than whine and complain..she rolls with it finds a class that's absolutely suitable to her temperament and gives it her all...while at the same time casually looking for how or why she got there and at the same time enjoying her new sights, foods, and friends

Really good.

My favorite series so far in this genre type. Plenty of action, the Mc isn't an idiot, and the story moves at a great pace. The narrator does an amazing job as well. I hope we get a lot more of these.

Great Continuation of the Series

Great Story and very well Narrated. The edits and improved Dialog is a nice change over the original Royal Road content as well.
