About this listen

EARTH FACES ITS GREATEST THREAT YET.

A catastrophic accident at one of the ancient alien portals unleashes a deadly contagion across multiple inhabited worlds.

Time is running out, and it's up to a courageous team of explorers, soldiers, and scientists, all familiar faces from previous adventures, to embark on a perilous intergalactic mission.

Through the enigmatic portals, they will journey to distant alien worlds, each with its own unique dangers and challenges, in a desperate race to avert disaster.

Told through gripping mission logs, Awakened weaves a captivating tale of courage, sacrifice, and the unbreakable bonds that unite us, even across the vast expanse of the cosmos.

Awakened is the thrilling fourth and final installment in the critically-acclaimed Saturn's Legacy series.

I just devoured these 4 books. Really liked the characters and their relatability. Very good narration as well. I want the movie!

Although this title is part of a series, it stands on its own quite well. There are allusions to external events, and characters' backstories, but these hints of elsewheres do not detract from a well-written series of simultaneous adventures that share a common time-limited goal.

Like the characters and aliens and their worlds. O blah Dee, O blah life goes on!

Better than advertised!

While still entertaining, this book had a lot of individual character development which I found a bit boring. Many of the individual stories were very intriguing, but I wish there had been a lot more focus on our main crew. I was happy to get to the end of this book.

Multiple smaller stories and characters development to paint a bigger picture.

This story is not one story but 3 jammed together. There’s no indication of where or when a character will appear and no scientific basis for the plot.

Too much confusion to read

I loved this series, but this sequel is a shadow of the previous novels. Seriously, splitting the crew into multiple groups to explore strange new worlds does not work for me. Ooh, world-ending threats! Plural worlds! Yawn. I struggled to get engaged and eventually stopped listening at the fourth mission. I get that the author wanted to explore the characters, but the minor characters were too, well, minor to hold my interest.

weak

This was advertised as a "hard" sci-fi. It is hard in the sense that it involves machinery and rockets and exploring an asteroid, but the story itself is BORING! Very boring. I finally asked myself why I was wasting my time listening to it. If I could return it, I would.

Bleah
