Asylum is a stand-alone novel in the Star Kingdom universe. It introduces new heroes, but fans will enjoy visits with Casmir, Kim, Qin, Laser, Oku, and other favorites from the series.

You’ve done it again Lindsay! Another wonderful adventure with new characters mixing with well known Friends! I truly hope to find more adventures with these wonderful new Friends!

love the series and want to listen to more. great story line and funny, is a fun drama.

the possible future storyline

liked the simplicity of the story.. Seeing previous characters living their lives.. and continuing their efforts to make things better. It's been 3 yrs since the story written.. hope author gives us more. I'd live to see how the computer folks turn out.. do they create a new wormhole? And is earth ever found?

I love living in this universe

There is something so compelling about these stories and these characters! I loved the two new voices we got in this story. Just like her other characters in the Star Kingdom series, they are wonderful to relate to and get to know. And of course, the impeccable Fred Burman is a delight to listen to. I would love to hear more from them in the future!

Enjoy the Story

it is nice that they still have fun things up their sleeves for all the little plots and twists that go on in the book. As I mentioned before it's a nice to have space opera that isn't full of curse words that younger listeners can't listen.

Even after 9 books...

I still can't pick a favorite character!! It's so rare to find a series that stay so stellar through 9 books, but I am going to miss the characters in this awesome series.

Once again wonderfully delicious space opera!

Sigh, I didn’t realize just how much I have missed this universe. Love the new characters along with the familiar ones. It is a fun storyline. Thank Lindsay for a great story. If you have listened to Star Kingdom you must get this one as well, you won’t be disappointed.

Just When You Thought It Was Over

I was happy with the ending to Book 8. Especially with the prologue. Thanks for that! I enjoyed the series and the fact that it had spanned eight books. The story came to a logical ending and while I wished there was more, I understood that I should be content with it lasting as long as it did. I was very happy when I saw Book 9 as a preorder. Take a great story, give it a twist and off we go on another adventure. And Fred Berman does a great job narrating. Sometimes voices vary as the series evolves and the listener has to figure out which character is which. Not so with this series. Fred Berman is quite consistent with his performance. Then, they throw in 30 minutes of Star Nomad at the end so now I have to go back and listen to that series for about the fourth time. Anything Lindsay Buroker puts out, I give it a listen. And I have not been disappointed. Good book, good series, good job.
