About this listen

It will be a cold day in San Carmelita before Private Investigator Savannah Reid skips over a high-profile homicide case, especially one attached to a tasty reward. But when 90-year-old former silver-screen siren Lucinda Faraday is murdered inside her derelict mansion, serving justice comes with unsavory risks. The fallen star, considered one of the most beautiful women of her time, was found strangled by a pair of vintage stockings amid a hoard of garbage and priceless memorabilia. Now, Lucinda is making headlines again - and, like in the past, her name is connected with the worst kind of scandal.

As a quest for answers reveals sleazy secrets about the victim's history, the Moonlight Magnolia Agency soon discovers that corruption, addiction, and blackmail were as rampant in the good old days of Hollywood as in the present - maybe even more so. Balancing a suspect list longer than Lucinda's acting credits and evidence that could destroy the reputation of people still alive, can Savannah outsmart the culprit before she or someone else gets reduced to tabloid fodder next?

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT

Another captivating, cozy, suspenseful, plot twists, intermingling plots, and absolutely another winner. Savannah Reid and company are definitely going to be part of my life for a while. I want to read every single book.

She did it again!

So loved this story. Kept me on my seat the whole time. Mainly because I wanted to know what would happen to the little boy. (Not gonna spoil the story any) a must read for sure. Can’t wait to hear about the next one.

And the Preachers Are...

I love the series and overall liked this book but it was preachy (if that's a word).

Excellent Series

The Killer is.... yet another amazing book by G.A. McKevett. I love this series I can never wait til the next Savanah Reid book comes out to see what the whole Moonlight Magnolia Gang is up to. I loved Brody, he is so much Dirk & Savanah he kept me laughing. A new little guy to love & perfect for the Reid Coulter household. Alma is finally where she belongs & found love. I'll keep waiting and anticipating the next in the series too.

Dina Pearlman has done an amazing narrating the whole series I have really enjoyed listening to all the books when she narrates. I think she does an amazing job with all the characters and brings them to life.

Thank You for doing an amazing job writing G.A. McKevett and Thank You for doing an excellent job reading her stories Dina Pearlman. Both of you keep up the good work.

Great book! The narration was bad!

I struggled at first to listen to this book because of the narrator. I suffered through because I'd already downloaded it and really wanted to hear this book. I love this series and Savannah, Dirk, Granny, and the rest of the gang. However, this narrator did not do justice to ANY of the characters. Her voice and dramatization was jut awful. She has the worst imitation southern accent I've ever heard. And I don't know what accent she was trying to accomplish with Dr. Liu but it and her British accent for John were horrible too! Her voice for Tammy was just as annoying. At times, her southern accent faded in and out and I'd have to rewind to figure out if it was Savannah or Dirk speaking! I've never written a review before but I knew in the first chapter I'd be writing this. I hope to never hear her read this series EVER again. In fact, I don't know if I could tolerate her reading anything again! I'd rather read the book myself!!
