Try it out- It's a new experience.
First, for expectations: it's important to note that this is NOT a book- it is a live recording of a one-woman play. (New for me on Audible, and I'm here for it.)
Second, this is a powerful and necessary story. For Natives, you'll get it. For those of mixed heritage, it might be healing and/or empowering. For non-Natives, I deeply encourage you to check out this play. It's incredibly informative and impactful. I trust that, if you're open to the experience, you will be moved, curious, and find a new appreciation for Native experiences.

Excellent!!
I have often wondered about the Trail of Tears. I lived in Cleveland TN and had visited the Cherokee cabins, also taking my children there to see the real history.
It is a miracle that the cabins are still there and have not been destroyed like so many things in America's history!!
