The emotional breakdown I had at the end of the book!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The rawness of each character. The relationships between characters. Ryan wrapped me around his little finger at Jump Street. It was much more of an extreme roller coaster than I was expecting and I’m not exaggerating when I say, I cried serious tears in this one. I’d most definitely recommend to most anyone…maybe I’d give a bitty warning to some.
Includes beautiful unconditional love and caring. In this world today? You can’t get too much of that.

Sweet little story

The only weak link was one of the narrators but overall this was a tender little listen.

We can all relate

Swing State was a new and phenomenal experience for me, an avid audio listener. This is my first review of an audio. The writing, acting, and sound effects were just enough for me to feel the realness of the location, each characters personalities, challenges, and emotions. The sounds, tone, and atmosphere of the story along with the setting were so realalistic. I am a lifelong city dweller but this story made me truly understand how our lives, emotions, and experiences are relatable and universal. Through listening to this audio, the actors and sound effects allowed my mind to easily visualize the imagery of the story. I loved this story, and like a great movie, I will listen to Swing State again and again. Thank you to the writer, producer, and cast for this gift through Audible!!

DISAPPOINTING...

There was some decent acting. and a fascinating turn of events. I didn't care for the accidental death or the dismissal, poor portrayal of the local Law Enforcement, either.

Sad story, overall.

Gut wrenching

Excellent but it tore my heart out. I would skip if ur not into feeling wrecked.

for only an hour and a half its really engaging, I was hooked almost instantly

Loved it… till the ending.

The story was entertaining and while set in a very small town, was still interesting. But I can’t really forgive the ending. Came down to three stupid people making stupid choices and getting someone, who needed help, killed.

Real.

Tight real and intimate, with broad meaning. Nature, prairie, birds and humans- all threatened in shared ways. Truly insightful

Heartbreaking

I read reviews about it before I listened, and a lot of them said it was morbid. That intrigued me into listening. I thought it was heartbreaking and beautiful. I even cried at the end. Definitely worth a listen.
