Book was better than I expected can't wait for the next one in the series but in the series

Another Success

Tate James does it again. I only wish I discovered my love for her books after she had all of her series completed on audible. Waiting for the next one is going to be difficult.

Incredible as always!

I used to be surprised by the incredible works of art Tate puts out.... haha now it's to be expected and she has a certain level of high expectancy she must meet for her audience. What does she do? She plays with our emotions, makes us suffer, makes us cry, mourne, cheer and beg for more. TateI freaking love you girl but sometimes I hate you.... and you know what I love to hate you and hate to love you! Keep em coming and I'll keep recommending. the shadow grove universe is hands down one of the absolute best series out there!

Great fast paced and streamy story

This audible pulled me in just as much as the first one did. I love the narrators. Lucas brings each of the guys to life so well. Noelle is great as Hades. You can always tell what she is feeling. I love how the relationships changed in this book. Cas finally giving in. Lucas went through so much but glad Hades found him. So much spice and laughter throughout this book. The ending scared me. I can't wait to immediately start the next audible.

This is why we read this stuff!

Some of the parts are unrealistic BUT that why we read this stuff! Sex, violence, Fantastically described gorgeousness. A lot of ‘arching brow and hitched breaths’ - difficult not to notice. the ending lead to book 3

I like Tate. Not my favorite

I like Tate books as a rule. This is not my favorite of her series. I got the feeling of the villain not so much a chess master but an adult playing Candyland with kids. That's ok, these books are a guilty pleasure; an exercise in extreme suspension of disbelief.
One issue I have; her little sister. The girl has the sheltered social experience of a 12 year old and the brain of a teenager. Hades keeps her ignorant of the hard and dangerous life they live in and spoils her rotten, then gets angry when Persephone acts spoiled and ignorant.

Amazing as usual

Cass's voice is right in this one. The first book the actor sounded more like the character Archer he voiced from the MK series. Hearing the letter at the end hit even different than it did when I read it the day after the book came out.

I mean… cmon the spice is so good. Tate James never lets us down. You can just feel the tension burning with each of the guys, but this slow burn with Zed is killing me! And as always the cliff hanger had me wanting to dive right into the third. Unlucky for me when I first read it, the third book hadn’t been released. It’s such a great story and really takes you with it through all the highs and lows. And guys… it gets real low at the end. Be prepared
