Great book!!

I enjoyed this book. Great characters and storyline. Heartfelt, passionate, and romantic. Narration was very well done!

Kaylee and Ty

I wasn't sure I was going to like this book because of the last one. I started to feel like maybe I had outgrown this author. But I feel like the narration is what saved this book for me, at least.

Kaylee has such a thing for Ty; it's kind of sweet. She saves him in a way he can't ever forget, but also feels like he would be just trading in one addiction for another. But I don't think that really is the case; he just has to trust in himself and in her. And if he does that, all will be ok.

Kaylee is still hurting from her loss but is ready to trust again.

This is a sweet story, and I enjoyed it for exactly that.

Amanda Ruined the Performance of Kaylee

I really enjoyed the story of Ty and Kaylee. I liked them in the first book, and they brought out most of the humor. It was nice to hear more about the background of both of them and how they fall in love with each other from the time they met. It’s aggravating that they fight against it.

I think Nelson did a great job, but I didn’t really care for Amanda in this performance. Her voice was hard to listen to and the flow of the reading just didn’t fit. Also, Kaylee is known to have worked on her southern accent before moving to Montana. It’s mentioned in the first book and in this book. Amanda didn’t even try to have an accent. I think that it took away from enjoying the story more. I wish they would have used the same narrator as they used in the first book for Lincoln.

Still, it’s a good book. I would recommend reading it instead of listening to it on audio.

Love Kaylee and Ty

This is the 2nd book in the series and I loved it as much as the first and maybe a little more. You can listen to this as a standalone but it is better if you listen to the first book before this one. I loved the progression of the relationship between Kaylee and Ty. Kaylee cared for Ty from the beginning but Ty was afraid to be with her. Ty was so sweet and I enjoyed watching them fall in love. This book was awesome and the narration was very good.

Yuuuuuuuuuuuus!

Ty and Kaylee were always going to happen. I knew that from the minute they met in the first book.
Ty tries so hard to resist Kaylee as soon as he realizes their connection is so much more than one night would ever be.
The tension his brush-offs create makes for a fun and banter-filled storyline.
A few lapses along the way - thanks to meddling family and weather craziness - keep that tension alive and kicking.

Once they cross that line though... *fans face* WOW.
One night, that is all they give themselves. But neither of them can deny the mutual attraction.
Their connection is so much more than they expected. They have ALL the feels and then some.
However, they are both battling demons that threaten to end their relationship before it even begins.

Can Ty be the man he knows Kaylee deserves? Or will he continue to run?

The narration was absolutely amazing. Amanda and Nelson did a wonderful job.

Oh my goodness Ty and Kaylee!! This book was EMOTIONAL!

Kaylee is a damn saint and now I understand why Ty loves and adores her so much. What she put up with to get her HEA!? And not only is she caring, she's funny!

And now I got the OG story behind the picture she paints! IFYKYK. I still get chills thinking about that painting!!

Listen, I can reread these books over and over that's how much I love these families!

Amanda Ronconi and Nelson Hobbs are a fantastic pairing for this couple!

Enjoyed this audiobook, loved the story of two damaged souls.

Kaylee and Ty. Two damaged souls searching for peace. Wow did I fall hard and fast for this couple.

Kaylee followed best friend Lincoln to Montana from Atlanta and immediately met Ty Shaw, resident playboy, former bull rider, now full time rancher (their initial meeting is in book 1 and although this can be read as a stand alone, I do recommend reading book 1 for even more enjoyment of this story). Kaylee was intrigued and definitely attracted to Ty. He was smitten with her right away but definitely was determined to hide that fact. Ty doesn’t do relationships. And so began their “will they or won’t they” give in to their mutual attraction.

These two are tortured by their pasts, hiding their feelings as much as possible, and trying to move on but unsuccessfully because there is definitely something more than just physical attraction between them. Kaylee realizes pretty quickly that she has caught feelings for Ty but it’s a long journey for Ty to come to grips with his feelings for Kaylee. He keeps pushing her away - but their HEA is definitely worth the wait.

I appreciated how the author tactfully and skillfully handled the characters’ conflicted feelings in the aftermath of injury, addiction, loss, grief - yes it’s all there and all integral parts of Kaylee and Ty’s journey to mutual healing. Excellent storytelling, a captivating story, I highly recommend this one.

Loved this story!

I listened to this book on Audible, and the narrators were spot on perfection! The steam was oh so steamy, and the angst between the 2 was hot! I can't wait to read more in this series!
