Loving the bad boy!!

Meghan Quinn has provided me with yet another book boyfriend to love! Diary of a Bad Boy is the story of a whisky drinking, cigarette smoking, zero f*cks given Roark McCool, who is without a doubt one of the BEST heroes that I’ve listened to. He’s such a hot freaking mess…and I loved it.

Sutton Green is a charming, sweet, southern bell who is no match for the rudeness she receives from Roark, until she goes outside her comfort zone and steps up her game. The steamy chemistry, the fantastic quick-witted banter was AMAZING between Sutton and Roark and I couldn’t get enough. The sexual tension between the two..my oh my!

I absolutely adore this audio version!

Read/Listen to "Secre to Dating" First

My first Meghan Quinn story. I didn't care for the heroine (she was SUPER naggy) or the hero (he was cliche, and a jerk- but NOT in a clever/sharp-tongued bad boy way. Sooo... sexy alpha asshole but without the sexy alpha part...) Made it hard to connect with these characters. Too much coincidence and superficial story for my taste, even for a light contemporary romance read.

The H is introduced in Secret to Dating Your Best Friend's Sister. Maybe I would have established some regard for him in that book, but reading this on its own, not so much.

THAT SAID: Solid writing. Clear and consistent. No issues with the plot, just didn't quite resonate with me.

Gave me all the feels you can't get with books

Narrators John Hartley and Lauren Ezzo brought this book to amazing life and made it sincerely fun and sincerely swoony!

This is my first audiobook from Meghan Quinn I have listened to and I can say with pure happiness, it will not be my last. John Hartley's Irish brogue made my knees weak. I loved every second of the crackling tension both John and Lauren seemed to conjure from the narration of Diary Of A Bad Boy. These two brought the story to vivid life and I instantly and completely got lost in this splendid audiobook. A win for sure!

5 Perfect Rom-Com Stars!!

Diary of a Bad Boy is the second book that I have read by Meghan Quinn and this book totally had me laughing out loud and what a Irishman of my own.  The narrators John Hartley and Lauren Ezzo totally nailed Sutton and Roark.  John did the perfect Irish accent that had me sweating and Lauren had the perfect southern accent nailed down perfectly.

Sutton Grace is the daughter of mega football star Foster who happens to switch cellphones with a stranger when a fight breaks out a local hot-dog restaurant.  Yes you read that correctly.  Fight in a hot-dog restaurant lol oh and it's all over ketchup. When Sutton finally get in touch with person who has her phone he decides to hold her cell hostage and give her the run away.

Roark McCool is a big time sports agent who ends up with Sutton's cellphone and gives her the run away on switching back.  Roark is the type of person who lives his life on his time with very little consideration for others.  Little does he know that Sutton is will to stalk him until she gets her phone back.  This is where the fun starts.  Sutton and Roark could be anymore different.  Sutton is a straight up country farm girl who lives her life on the straight and narrow, while Roark is the complete opposite. So when these 2 figure out that they are forced to work together is where things get really good.

So yes if you are looking for a total bad boy read where the alpha isn't 100% perfect and a little broken then this a total must read/listen. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Funny, heartfelt

I'm totally in love with this hilarious, heartfelt, enemies-to-lovers rom-com.

I was completely swoon off my feet by Roark. His broody and bad boy exterior was a cover-up to protect his inner broken little boy. His diary entries were hilarious and showed us the true Roark underneath the mask that he always hid behind. My heart was broken by his constant self-depreciating thoughts and actions. I was delighted that he found his comfort and directions in Sutton. Sutton was a sweet and innocent country girl, but her inner vixen was unleashed after Roark’s constant provocation. Their quick and witty banter/texting and their back and forth games were hilarious and entertaining. They were so perfect for each other. The Bromance between Roark, Rath and Bram were still strong and endearing. I cannot wait for Rath's HEA to come.

If you are looking for a quick read that give you lots of laughs and warm your heart, don’t miss out on this funny and charming story performed by the talented John Hartley and Lauren Ezzo

That Irish brogue....

Nobody does romantic comedy quite like Meghan Quinn. She creates characters and stories that reel you in right from the first page. Although it took getting to know Roark and his backstory a bit before he became BBF material, the Irish in me (23andMe tells me I am 42% British and Irish!) swooned every time Roark called Sutton "Lass"! Sigh..... Roark and Sutton had such amazing chemistry and Quinn's trademark witty banter was so well done in this book. It was also great to catch up with Roark's friends Bram and Rath from Quinn's The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend's Sister, and I cannot wait for Rath's story, which I hope is coming soon.

John Hartley and Lauren Ezzo were both new-to-me narrators, but they were fantastic in these roles. Both were able to switch easily between Irish and American accents in their respective chapters. Such an enjoyable listen!

broken bad boy & good girl

Roark grew up being told that he was no good and worth nothing and, even as one of the best sports agents in NY, he still believes those words.
When Sutton loses her phone, while witnessing a bar fight, we doesn’t figure on walking away with the phone on one of the guys who was fighting. After several days of the guy putting her off, Sutton shows at one of his lunch meetings and gets a surprise! Turns out that the guy is none other than her NFL playing father’s agent! Not only that but, she has to work with Roark on her father’s charity sports camp...his part of community service.
The chemistry between the pair is off the charts but Roark resists for a number of reasons...he’s 8yrs older, she’s his client’s daughter, and he’s no good.
Can Sutton get past his barriers and prove to Roark that he’s worth loving?
Another excellent book by this author! Definitely a relisten for me.

Mrs. Quinn never let me down. Beautiful story and the plot is amazing. What I got most out of this book that u don't have to be perfect, rich, or poor, but as long as u seek love, have a big sense of humor and a good heart life can be as big and full of love as u choose it to be💋✨✨
