Just Ok

Seemed like a short story and not a novel. Entire story occurred in a hospital. Over reliance on race and gender tropes to generate antagonist motivations. No character development. I wanted to stop reading multiple times during the book. Suffers from same problems as “Monsters,” but not as entertaining.

Very slow progression

After reading all of the land books and being very disappointed at book 8 I was expecting to get the same thrill I got when reading the land book 1 but this book also felt very repetitive and slow

Great start to a new series

Once again he's done it! Great new series can't wait for the next book. Definitely Ready to see what new Abilities await this series and new dangers! keep it up! and Gnomes rule!

Another great book

Well written and great story. In my opinion the best Litrpg author. Great narration helps bring the story alive. You can visualize the world the author has created as you follow the MC. MC is op but acts like a human with intelligence and emotions.

A Solid Start to a New Series

I'm 2/3 into this title and can say Aleron has thought a lot about his labrynith universe and it's taking an interesting turn. It's set in the near future so some parts of our world are more futuristic but within parameters of what is actually achievable with today's science. I'll admit that it makes the whole book a bit of a strech considering it's stated that people already secretly have powers on earth. Despite this the MC seems to come from a real place with a lot of his own flaws that make me want to see how he overcomes them and make his life his own.

Another note is the power scaling is little off. It's a fun MC is OP story and as such is very enjoyable. It does better than most in this genre in keeping the threat real. Normal people don't even have interfaces though and there isn't much reasoning other than you are born that way and just get cheated by the Chaos Wave. God doesn't just put a hand on the scale he puts his whole dang arm on it.

I would recommend for anyone who enjoys reading gamelit with a strong MC

solid new series

while im sure many people who've come to expect and prefer high action with a ton of fight scenes wont care for this book, but for me it was awesome. the ammount of world building, system exploration and character development was phenomenal. if you've read gods eye first (a seperate series in the AKU) you catch glimpses of similarities with the labyrinth system. this book also goes into far more depth into the fall of earth than the glimps you get at the beginning of gods eye. i am looking forward to reading the next book when it comes out.

Gnomes Rule!

A fantastic read. It connects to The Land series but can be enjoyed on its own. The story is exciting, and the characters are easy to relate to. You don't need to know The Land to love this book.Even if you're new to Aleron Kong's work, Alpha is a great start. It's full of action, adventure, and humor. Whether you're a fan or a newcomer, you'll find Alpha enjoyable and memorable.Highly recommended for all fantasy lovers!

if the land is a 6 star out of 5 I would place this around a 4.7. it feels good but left wanting. more characters more interaction less character sheets was a bit bored but feels like a book 2 could be excellent. it is set up for a brilliant series looking foward to more and great job aleron and pavi.
