About this listen

Former lawyer Nicole Fitzhenry-Dawes has finally settled in to her new home in Fair Haven, and her first maple syrup season is upon them. It's not going as smoothly as she'd hoped. Their sap lines keep springing leaks, and as if that wasn't enough, Nicole finds their groom-mechanic Noah apparently trampled in one of the horse stalls.

Fair Haven's interim police chief is ready to declare it an accident, but Nicole believes otherwise. With Noah in a coma, she's determined to figure out who wanted to kill him before the perpetrator can return and finish the job.

But whoever attempted to kill Noah has other ideas and is willing to do whatever it takes to stop Nicole from discovering the truth - even destroy Sugarwood and the man Nicole loves.

This is a great book.

It is hard to write a really fantastic book one time. Emily James has done it times three so far. I can't say this is the best of the three books in the Maple Syrup series . That is because each of them on their own are the best if that is at all possible. I can't wait to start the fourth book and I am so glad some people in this story finally got things straight. Now about the Narrator , Andea Emmes. She gets better and better with each book she Narrates. She once again has given a stunning performance taking me not only into the story of the book but right to the Author . I feel like the connection of the author and the narrator is so close that by listening to this book you are there with them. I really ,really recommend this book and all those that have come before it in the Maple Syrup Series .

Murder mystery and romance

Sabotaging on the maple syrup plantation murder abounds and romance misconceptions clear up soon enough new stories to look forward to on the next book

Enough is Enough

I tried to give this series another chance, but I'm done with this series. Not only is Nicole Fitzhenry-Dawes a complete idiot, but so is everyone else in the village. Nicole goes after evidence that her employee is murdered. Then, she solves the murder. In the meantime she's obsessing over a man she thinks is murdered. I got frustrated with this book after chapter 6. I couldn't finish it.
