About this listen

The planet LV-363 teems with exotic life, including a plant growing in the shadows of its deep rifts. The plant’s flower yields a valuable narcotic, and people are forced by the cartels to harvest it.

When a Yautja (Predator) ship arrives for a hunting ritual, the Predators seed the rifts with Xenomorph eggs. The aliens emerge and the result is bizarre and deadly hybrids, with humans trapped between the Predators and their prey. These deadly Xenomorph hybrids—some of which possess the ability to fly—swarm out of control and may prove more than either the Yautja or the humans can defeat.

I think the story does a great job of getting into the mindset of the addict human characters, and I liked the rivalry taking place among the Yautja, but this story doesn’t feel like it’s breaking any new ground. While the action with the predators was pretty well described, it was really y clear what happened to the dozens of other humans on the planet… the story followed a few by name but then after after some brief encounters all but two or three are just suddenly dead and it feels like there are details that got glossed over. Adding to that the motivations behind what is happening in the Yautja rivalry and the accounts at the center of the rivalry shift and change as if the content editor didn’t do a thorough enough job. But it was an overall entertaining book.

Enjoyable but repetitive

Great narration and the plot and pace were good. Only complaint is there really wasn’t a single character I wanted to root for or even like a little. All terrible people / monsters - but saying that it was probably a more realistic portrayal of likely behaviors considering the circumstances the author created.

Enjoyable

With extraordinary Xenomorph mutations, plus the feuds between the Yautja added an interesting twist. Hope to get a continuation of this book considering how it ended.

Great story filled with action

The narration wasn't very good. Lots of mispronunciations which took me out of the story. The story itself is what you expect: a decent reason to throw a bunch of Predators, Humans and Xenos together. It plays out how you think with some good action but it never goes outside the premise of the story or throws any surprises. I am glad this was a free book, at least when I read it, and I wouldn't recommend spending much money on it. Flying Xenos were pretty cool.

It was alright.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book recording and now my wish list is significantly larger. I had no idea that the predators had a culture, etc., but when I thought about it, I remember I’d believed they were alien big game hunters.

There were what I believe may have been some innovations to this world; if so, I appreciated it. I also loved how the aliens once again evolved into a new hybrid and created a fourth semi intelligent species,

I’m so glad I used a credit on this. Can’t wait until I get more of them!

I never thought the Predator series could be interesting until now

I really enjoyed this one. A lot more information on the predator culture and a lot more from their point of view which I enjoyed also a new variation of xenomorph in this book was pretty nasty and brought a new game to the field.

awesome

I enjoyed most of the book, the main issues is it demeans men in some portions of the book, it also gives away some of what is going to happen because of this issue. it's on the writer and not the reader or audible. the narrator is okay. she seemed tough to listen to at first but does a decent job.

good action

A great story. Revenge, betrail, and new dread. Yery good. The Rift is a dark crevis with a drug weilding flower. but a plot thickes as a Predator left behind creates the hunting ground for the unblooded.

A complete story
