Craig Beck is a well-regarded family man with two children, a nice home, and a successful media career; a director of several companies and at one time the trustee of a large children’s charity. Outwardly, Craig was a highly successful and functioning professional man in spite of a ‘two-bottles-of-wine-a-night" drinking habit.
For 20 years he struggled to control his drinking, all the time refusing to label himself an alcoholic because he didn't believe he met the stereotypical image that the word portrayed. If Alcohol Is A Concern Then You Need This Book!
Would you listen to Alcohol Lied to Me - New Edition again? Why?
I am currently up to my third listen and have picked up even more with each listen. Using a combination of his own story and a generous amount of fact Craig really makes you reconsider your long held opinions of alcohol.
Considering that I have listened to other audiobooks and read other books on alcohol I thought this may just be a refresher. Boy was I wrong! With Craig's wonderful story telling ability this is a great listen for anyone who is considering their options with alcohol.
As someone who has been alcohol free for nearly 6 months at the time of writing it would have been great to have had this book prior to embarking on my journey of sobriety. He has really opened my eyes to what I am truly capable of without alcohol especially in social situations.
I am now extremely keen to check out some of Craig's other works.
I give Alcohol Lied To Me 2 bigs thumbs up!

Best book to start a road to sobriety
This book is one of the bast books on this topic. Life changing.. I am looking forward to a life where I am more alert and can be present in my life rather than watching it from the sidelines

Wow! If you have problems with drinking, listen to this amazing audio book!
I have always struggled with drinking, since I was about 19... I was drinking during the day and hiding it... drinking wine every night, and not just the small bottle... I’ve missed out on evenings with my family because I fell aseep aka passed out... missed time with our 8 year old I can never get back... I started this book 3 days ago and am already done... I haven’t drank since the first day, and I really don’t want to. He really helps make you aware of what you are doing to your body and what it does to your mind! I suggest listening to this book for sure... you wont regret it!

Very Effective
I will admit I've listened to a few books like this before but this one was by far the best. It kept my interest, pointed out things I never would have thought of before and gave me a whole new perspective on life. Now I'm feeling more confident than ever that I can do this and it feels amazing! Thank you!

Very inspirational
The author was so non judgmental, and kind in his delivery. He was funny, and incredibly interesting and educational. I felt supported when listening to him, and the shame I feel as an alcoholic actually started to dissipate. It was really quite incredible, and I am grateful I purchased this work.
