Sweet with low angst

Dual POV. Dual Narration. Very cute story with some “good girl” steaminess. I enjoyed the low angst and no third act breakup. It is a great palate cleanser or if you are in the mood for a cute and loving story 🥰

Loved the MC

This is a really really great listen. A great escape from reality indeed. The MC made me swoon I swear, even though he was a bit stubborn regarding his injury.

Spicy Football Romance

I bought the book without reading into it much for my walk home and was pleasantly surprised how spicy it was. A good MMC who WILL steal your heart.

Good

Easy story. Very low angst, no whining, no constant misunderstandings or negative self talk. Wasn’t over the top exciting but I appreciated not having all the drama.
I did like the storyline about the cheerleaders- learned something and was interesting. I did research after listening and their treatment is a serious problem.

Daniel and Kelsey

This is a new to me author and I have to say I was not disappointed. Brittany Kelley just gained a new fan. This is an adorably sweet, sinfully delicious and swoon worthy romance that had me yearning for more. Daniel and Kelsey are simply perfect for one another. I enjoyed going on this cute journey with these two amazing characters. Great story!

I loved both characters and the narration. Great story. Sport romances are the best. Please write more like this!!

Okay Read/Listen

This was an okay title, decent enough for a free listen but not sure I would have wanted to pay full price for it or use a credit. Some of the story seemed unrealistic. The comparisons to things were at first okay, but got more awkward as the story went (example: his hug was like a warm cup of hot chocolate). There were other annoyances throughout (example: ML calling the FL by first and last name frequently—people do not talk like that regularly).

Kelsey especially had a lot of warranted hesitancy about a relationship with Daniel which took up a lot of her thoughts in the first half or so, but the switch flipped so quickly it was odd. Daniel’s confidence matches his age which was refreshing in a male lead.

I couldn’t tell if the author loved football (which would be the assumption as she’s writing a football novel) or hated it, though the points she made in comparison to real life football players and cheerleaders were true. The narration was also just okay. Both the narration and the story in the end kind of dragged. I don’t think it was a bad premise or anything, it just maybe needed a little more revising.

Overall I think the author has a lot of potential as it was well written grammatically, the characters mostly believable, and I will possibly continue the series if I’m able in the event that this is an early release for the author, as writers often improve with every release. She definitely has the talent in there in my opinion even if this one was a bit of a miss for me.

Good Story With Episodes of Poor Dialogue

I really enjoyed this light romance however, I almost put it down early on in the novel because of some of the childish dialogue. The story focuses on the romance between a 25 year old heroine and 39 year old hero. The age gap is a significant one and some of the dialogue between the two characters was written like it was between teenagers not two adults, especially someone who was close to 40. Also, I enjoy a bit of spice but because of repeated use of the same salty descriptive language I feel it was distracting instead of beneficial. Because of the above issues I could only give it 3 stars but overall I did enjoy the storyline and will continue to read the other novels in the series.

Cute easy listen

Easy book to listen to with no third act break up better communication between couple, but that might be due to mail lead being more mature. Low level of spice, but good banter and chemistry.
