Good stuff but still dislike the MC
This was a great book the only reason I can't give it 5 stars is due to the selfish jerk of an MC I get that he has to keep most his secrets but even when it's completely safe and he can help or even save someone he will not I'm looking forward to all his lying blowing up in his face.

A great isakai style story that's a little hard and dirty. The story continues of Eryc as he has been drafted into the Roman style army and struggles to survive.

An excellent continuation from book 1
I really enjoyed this book as well as it’s predecessor. I think the beauty of it is that it’s not overly complex BUT it is still fleshed out and written very well. It just makes you really want to know what is next. I can’t wait for the 3rd. Also I think the narrator/voice actor is doing a really superb job. I hadn’t listened to him before but I think he adds some depth to the experience of the series.
