STUNNING!!

I read a LOT of books that call themselves Fantasy novels, or folklore, or even Fairytales, but this book was a beautiful blend of storytelling, folklore, and fantasy with a wonderful blend of elemental magic, which can be a wild an at times very uneasy journey into the heart of the Fae of the Elements.
This was truly Beautiful storytelling!!
There’s so much out there that promises fantasy and all it really gives you is teenagers falling in love with some sort of supernatural backdrop, but NOT this book.
I cannot express how refreshing it is to find a book where the characters, though young ( in their 20’s) aren’t teenagers & it doesn’t feel like it’s written for teenagers.
The characters are stubborn and have their challenging qualities, but this is also a part of the plot, it’s woven beautifully and seamlessly into the story as we watch these characters grow and evolve, face themselves in in and different ways.
I am truly blown away.
I am immediately getting the next book in this series & I will continue to explore more of Rebecca Ross and her writing in the future. Oh and the narration was Superb 🙏🏽✨🥂🍾🎊

I enjoyed the majority of the book, just the cliffhanger ending was rough because I didn’t expect g kg.

Enchanting story brings you to long-ago Scotland

Well-written and pleasantly-narrated novel explores a remote Scottish island in an era when clans reverenced nature spirits. Character motives become clear through rational inner dialogue and expressive conversations.

Really Enjoyable

This story truly draws you in. It is well written and the narrator does an outstanding job. I can’t wait to read book 2!

Slow burn

This story was written beautifully, and the narration is the cherry on top. I enjoyed this take on magic and how the humans and “spirits” interact. Worth the listen of you enjoy in depth descriptions of fantastical places or near poetic lore. Be warned though I did not find this mystery fantasy a fast paced one.

A lovely tale

This story was very pleasing to listen to, and lays the groundwork for what I'm hopeful will be a robust series. I would recommend.

Amazing narration!

Loved this story! I would have enjoyed reading it, no doubt, but the narration was excellent and added so much to the story. Her inflections and voice changes were spot on. So glad I did this book as an audio.

Best cozy fantasy read

I read this book last year and decided to get it on audiobook to “re-read.” It’s the perfect cozy fantasy story, and the second book in the series is even better.
