About this listen

Great News! A-mused is now a two-time award winning novel! First Award is from Audiobooks.com for Best Debut Author! The second award is from Readers' Favorite.

Sexy and sleek, A-Mused is funny chick lit at its best! Packed with quirky characters, action, adventure, magic, love, and exotic settings, A-mused is a new take on Greek mythology that makes it the perfect beach listen!

Rani, a slightly socially awkward astrophysicist, is in a celestial free-for-all of her own making. Somehow, she's released some constellations from the night sky and just before her long-awaited vacation to Greece. As creatures of myth and legend make their way into her dreams, all seems harmless. Then Ryan, a man with the pecs of a god and voice like molten chocolate, struts from her dream world into real life, and suddenly she's seeing stars.

Her vacation turns to mayhem. She learns that the earth is hurtling toward destruction because her emotions are affecting the sun and moon. And a meddling maverick dressed like a goth Tarzan arrives at every one of her worst moments to save her when she's perfectly capable of saving herself. Add to that a terrifying monster of colossal depravity who wouldn't mind killing her when he's finished tormenting her and Rani reaches her limit. Clearly, no one understands what she's truly capable of, not even Rani, but that doesn't matter. It's high time they get a taste of what an astrophysicist with gumption can do.

Rani's madcap voyage of love, self-discovery, and empowerment will leave you laughing out loud in this installment of My Big Fat Greek Mythology.

Pretty Cute

Good narration and the story kept me very intrigued throughout. Just wish it was longer.

A Fun, Fast-Paced Story Full of Mystery and Intrigue

Upon first opening A-Mused, I was reminded of a night with the girls, sitting around sipping drinks on a night out as we chat and gossip about vacation, life, friends, and drama. As the story went on though, I was drawn into a fast-paced story full of mystery and intrigue, with a fun dash of sexy men tossed into the mix.

With lots of tidbits from Greco-Roman mythology that fans of the mythos will be sure to enjoy, I found this story a perfect comfort read. A-Mused is a great choice for fans of women’s fiction/ chick lit, romance, light mystery, and those who love modern interpretations of mythology.

The narrator Jaelanne Gilliam captured Rani as well as the broad cast of characters perfectly, which is no easy feat with a project this involved.

Thanks to the author Glenda Rogers for a complementary copy of this audiobook! I thoroughly enjoyed reading A-Mused.

Whimsical, Fun, and so much more!

A beautiful and stunning woman, yet one that is quiet and basically an introvert who by trade is an astrophysicist, heading off to a long-overdue vacation. Rani is this woman and without knowing the how or why she manages to not only wreak havoc on earth but the constellations as well! Whether wide awake or sound asleep, she encounters men that are suave, debonair, and downright sinfully delectable! Her real-world and dreams meld into one and it is up to her to figure out how to save the world, constellations, and her sanity as well as foil the villains!

The author, Glenda N. Rogers, creates a delightful tale heavy on humor, quirkiness, fun, and light entertainment. The plot is well-developed as are the characters, although they come at you rather quickly at times. Each plot twist is unexpected and unfolds in a natural manner.

The narrator, Jaelanne Gilliam adds to the humor with her performance. Her voice for Rani is light and projects the emotional range needed to compliment the story. Gilliam gives each character a unique voice that keeps the flow smooth.
I enjoyed this story! It has magic, mythology, fun, romance, and is whimsical.

There were no issues with the production or quality of the audiobook.

Good book! New author and Narrator will be famous

I found this to be an interesting take on Greek mythology. The story definitely kept me guessing as I didn't know how the main characters were going to defeat Typhon. The gods were all very interesting characters. The narrator experertly performed the story, and made it very interesting throughout. Looking forward to book 2.

Enjoyable, fun story

First off, I hope you know your Greek mythology (or at least have a guide handy). I didn’t know half the characters so I had a hard time keeping some them straight and I’m sure I missed some of the subtle points that would probably have been hilarious had I remembered how all the Greek gods were related. Despite that, the book was A LOT of fun and hilarious to boot. While I will say I saw the twist coming, it unfolded differently than I imagined which kept the book fun and engaging. The narrator did a good job keeping up with so many characters. I look forward to future books by the author and narrator!

entertaining

A whimsical and entertaining mythology, that I fell into quickly and enjoyed. Rani was so mean to Lee and I empathized with him and all his efforts to jog her memory. All the meddling gods and goddesses, some with ill intent . Wow.I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.
