About this listen

Annalise Finch is content - she has a job she enjoys, lives close to her family and friends, and spends most Wednesday nights drinking wine with her grandma. According to her grandma, though, she has lost her sparkle, and the only solution is to join a site to hook up with other women. The only problem (aside from a meddling grandma with a dirty mind) is Annalise doesn’t like women. At least, that’s what she always thought, but when she meets Brinley Adams, she starts to question everything.

Brinley Adams loves women, but not commitment. She is more than happy picking up ladies at the bar she works at to have a little fun. When a hot blonde walks into her bar and completely fails to go home with the woman she came with, what choice does Brinley have but to take her under her wings?

Their arrangement is perfect - Brinley will teach Annalise everything she knows about pleasing a woman, and in turn, Brinley gets to have a little fun herself. Since neither of them are interested in any sort of commitment, what could possibly go wrong? It’s not like this is a romantic comedy.

It was sweet and sexy

I liked the characters and that they didn’t have the typical miscommunication or lack of communication that I often see in romances.

Delightful

The characters are fantastic (I’m obsessed with the grandmother and want to be her when I grow up), the story itself is sweet and heartwarming (and STUPIDLY hot), and the performance was stellar. This is my new go-to feel-good book.

So good!

I dont often give out 5 stars but I really enjoyed this book! It was sweet, sexy, and funny. Both ladies were likable and their chemistry was well written. The performance just took this book right over the top for me. I really recommend giving this one a listen!

Lori Prince = Perfection for Romcoms

Annalise's hilarious grandma sets her up with a lesbian "dating" account app - except Annalise just broke up with her BOYfriend and never considered being with a woman. This grandmother is not coy about anything, she all but PUSHES her granddaughter toward women. She stumbles upon Brinley, a bartender who is studying to get into medical school. Brinley, a lesbian, is more than happy to "prepare" Annalise for the women she will meet on her dates. in the meantime, of course, feelings start to bud and friendship blooms. This story has a very supportive family, a raunchy and hilarious wino grandmother, and both MCs have funny BFFs.

Basically, take "Those Who Wait" (from the very talented, Haley Cass) and make it naughtier and quicker and get rid of most of the tears. This story is saucy and spice and everything nice - starting off with a SYLLABUS, that had my jaw on the floor. I was dumbfounded and amused.

The very talented, Lori Prince, is the narrator for this book and I don't think a better match was made. Lori brings the funny, sexy, and vulnerable voices to the characters with ease. her voice choices were spot on, especially how she presented Annalise in what I can only describe as a "Golden Retriever" personality. She's excited about life, is "all in," and she's coming at ya! I also loved how sensitive she made Brinley through her suave demeanor.

I cannot recommend this audiobook enough. To have this MC being a late blooming bisexual was terribly sweet, the way she reflects back on her life and feels like she had blinds on. This story had NO SHAME in it either.

A clever “toaster oven” queer awakening story that our baby gay selves would’ve appreciated!

I really enjoyed this audiobook! Erica Lee artfully weaves a clever “toaster oven” queer awakening story that our baby gay selves would’ve appreciated. Lori Prince always finds the funny for us, but also gently delivers the profound moments in between them.

An Absolute Gem of a Story - A Perfect Blend of Humor and Heart!

I absolutely loved *A Lesbian's Guide to Women* by Erica Lee, narrated by the fantastic Lori Prince. This audiobook was an absolute joy from start to finish, blending humor, steam, and heart in a way that left me smiling long after it ended.

From the moment I heard the syllabus and the recommended reading, I knew I was in for a treat. The clever inclusion of these elements set the tone for the book and added a delightful layer of authenticity to the story. I even went ahead and bought the e-books that were on that list—I couldn't resist!

Lori Prince did an incredible job bringing this story to life. Her narration perfectly captured the insecurities of Annalise as she navigated her journey of self-discovery, and it was a joy to hear her grow into her confidence and embrace her sexual identity. Prince's performance added depth and warmth to Annalise's character, making her journey feel even more personal and real.

Brinley’s character was another highlight for me. The author did a fantastic job portraying her confidence and swagger—I have to admit, I have a huge crush on her! She gave me strong 76th Street Girl vibes, and I couldn’t get enough of her charm and charisma.

The secondary characters and family dynamics were wonderfully done as well. Grandma was an absolute riot, providing many laugh-out-loud moments that added to the overall warmth and humor of the story.

One of the best things about this book is how it subverts typical romance tropes. There’s no third-act breakup, just a genuine, feel-good love story that celebrates the joy of finding yourself and finding love. It’s refreshing and makes the story all the more enjoyable.

*This will definitely be a go-to reread and relisten for me*. It's such a feel-good story, with the perfect balance of steam, humor, and heartfelt moments. Thank you to Erica Lee for crafting such a wonderful love story, and to Lori Prince for bringing it to life so brilliantly. This audiobook is a true gem!

A Steamy Romp with Heart and Humor

I went into A Lesbian’s Guide to Women by Erica Lee expecting a fun, no-strings-attached romance, but I got so much more than that. This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster with its steamy scenes and surprising depth. The premise may sound like your typical “fling with no commitment” story, but trust me, it is anything but. Annalise Finch and Brinley Adams may have started with a simple arrangement, but what unfolds is a journey of self-discovery, hilarious meta moments, and heartwarming revelations.

One of the things that struck me the most was the emotional vulnerability woven into the steamy plot. Yes, A Lesbian’s Guide to Women is definitely one of the steamiest sapphic books I’ve read, but it’s also filled with raw emotion. The moments when Annalise begins questioning her identity and opening herself up to new possibilities tugged at my heartstrings. I love a good story about personal growth (especially later-in-life sexuality realizations), and this one is delivered in spades. One moment I have tears rolling down my cheeks because of the scenes with Analise and her ex (or her friend, or her mom) where they reveal some stuff about her and she’s losing her mind trying to figure out what they mean! To moments where I was tearing up because of the growth of the happiness. It’s always so fulfilling to see characters realize who they truly are, no matter how unexpected or overdue that moment might be.

And can we just talk about Lori Prince? She absolutely slayed the narration! I didn’t think it was possible, but she made this steamy book even steamier. Every character felt alive, and her delivery of the witty, self-aware humor had me laughing out loud—especially during that brilliant meta-joke about the dreaded third-act breakup. You could tell she was having as much fun as I was, and it added a whole new level to the experience. I always look for Lori Prince when seeking new sapphic romances, and if you do the same, you know exactly what I mean.

Overall, I LOVED this book. It’s not just a romance; it’s a celebration of identity, discovery, and humor wrapped up in a sizzling package. If you’re looking for a sapphic romance that’s as heartwarming as it is steamy, this one is a must-listen!
