Ditching the energy drinks and sleeping pills! ;)
I am a 44-year-old single mom to a 4-year-old and my survival tools have been energy drinks and sleeping pills. The problem is... I am left with a "sleepy hangover' in the mornings and then feel jittery from the energy drinks. This has left me wanting some holistic approach to try to reduce these terrible side effects. I am SO very thankful for running across this book, as it is the exact solution I have been looking for! The information is thorough and well organized, making it easy to follow and engaging! The techniques are practical and seem easy to incorporate into my beautifully chaotic schedule. ;) I was definitely enlightened on the topic of prebiotics and probiotics! A must read for women experiencing perimenopause
The author provides essential habits that center on gut health. These habits include doing intermittent fasting, getting adequate restful sleep, watching sugar intake, restricting alcohol intake to red wine, exercising, being mindful of cosmetic products, and much more.
As a woman approaching 40 (currently 35), I found that the information in this book is insightful and practical. The author shares their personal health experience in an informative matter without using complex jargon.
I took my time to listen to this book and even paused to take some notes in my journal as to what I can do right now to improve my overall health. I will start with the 4-week plan( starting with drinking only water, eliminating added sugar, eating more gut-concious foods, and developing a consistent exercise plan, which the author outlines in the book.
Although this book is written for women over 40, I highly recommend this book for women in their mid-30s because a lot of this information will help guide women to consider their life choices as they age gracefully.

Outstanding for Menopausal Women
I love this book and will be getting it in paper copy! I'm 51 and in menopause. I've reached this point where I have no idea what my body is doing, and it is very difficult to figure out as I've known it for 51 years! I've experienced many of the things identified in this book, not realizing it was menopause symptoms. This book opened my eyes to some serious reality and to the things that I would not have otherwise figured out. The book lays out everything and has simple steps to follow, from dieting to sleeping to exercising to meditation. It has everything addressed in a very simple and practical way. It is a perfect book for peri-menopausal and menopausal women, and I am excited to start following these practices.
