About this listen
For college admissions help, give your child that "unfair" advantage in applying to college, without cheating, offering bribes, using legacy, or giving donations. Here's the kind of insider information that’s made the author's own clients refer him to their friends for the past 17 years.
It's a free, fast, and entertaining listen that's designed for the hard-bitten realist who takes nothing at face value, especially in light of the college admissions scandal of 2019.
Based on the famous and dependable 80/20 rule, you will place 80 percent of the value of this book in 20 percent of what you hear. Put another way, you will fully gain from at least five of the secrets I like to list as “Tips.” You will be able to identify those five tips that really work for you.
I will unload a few of my rough opinions because the business of college is one I have come to distrust greatly over the years. Some of this information is just ugly.
In this era of victimology, you can say I was a victim of what colleges do to families, and this book is sounding a warning of what is ahead for you and how you can work around or manipulate certain issues to your advantage.

Colossal waste of money, title is so misleading
The book shares the most elementary tips. Tips that a counselor with 3 months experience would know and it purports to be sharing inside information. Here is an example: parents if your child takes out a lot of student debt it is your fault. Is that some insiders secret?????
There are also several things that are factually inaccurate.
I have 23 years experience in college admissions and college counseling and authors like this give the IEC profession a bad name with the college admissions community.
I saw the despicable ratings and bought it anyway because the title intrigued me. I was a fool. Please learn from my mistake. Amazon this book is not worthy of being in your great collection of audible books. I honestly believe you should remove this from audible

Probably the most annoying thing I’ve ever listened to
Here’s how the summary should read: A know-it-all type conveying basic information as if it’s some profound hidden nugget of truth he discovered—and with annoying, transparent bias to boot.
There actually is some useful information in here if you’re a complete beginner on this subject, but there are better, more objective and less annoying sources for this information.
