Story
Micah Regent is a pre-med student in Neo-Hokkaido, just hoping his snarky grandmother's prayer can help him pass an exam. When two sexy ninja girl statues come to life before his very eyes and start fighting each other, his life will never be the same. Drawn into a rebel faction by an old friend and his less-than-perfect luck, Micah must not only defy the iron-handed, bucket-headed Society of Monks (and killer nuns), he must uncover the secrets behind the ninja girls and the industria that not only runs the world, but through his veins.

the fist book had me hook but this new one is even better. I'm no normal into epic novels .that being said i could not stop listening to this world being opened up to me. the small little choices that turn out to be huge and yet overlapping to others. and the reaction of two seemingly ordinary people trying to deal with it or not. its a truly great read and i highly recommend it.

Story
Sameerixis, or Sam for those who actually know him, isn’t what you’d call normal. He had been a door-to-door salesman of sorts. One who peddled wares, wishes, and whims to anyone willing to pay his prices. Except that life is gone now. His old business model had been modernized. Email, phone contacts, letters, flyers, business cards, and scheduled consultations. Sam was a man trapped in place by his own success. And loving it.

i really like the story concept. very "the time machine" meets Men in black. good stuff all around. my only complaint is it could have had a few more chapters. felt a little rushed in some spots an a lot of questions remain. hopefully the next book will address that. over all good fun book that makes you think. 😋

this is such a good listen. and oddly relatable . just trying to survive a seemingly hellish place. with the world as it is just now with carona v an all there is parallels that could be made even in fiction that being said. this book gleams at the heart of a persons willingness to survive and to not give up even when its a total s#%t show. thank you for the escape Mr. Kong and your amazing voice Mr. Podehl as always.

"No killing Goblins." So reads the sign outside of The Wandering Inn, a small building run by a young woman named Erin Solstice. She serves pasta with sausage, blue fruit juice, and dead acid flies on request. And she comes from another world. Ours. It's a bad day when Erin finds herself transported to a fantastical world and nearly gets eaten by a Dragon. She doesn't belong in a place where monster attacks are a fact of life, and where Humans are one species among many. But she must adapt to her new life. Or die.
