I found out about this book when looking into C S Lewis. I can see why the author is a favorite of his. The story reads like an old fairy tale, but is so full of life's truths I enjoyed the lessons I learned from it, especially as a mother. I will definitely read this to my children again and again.

Thomas Sowell at his best. He brings factual order and reason from history back to our present day. Clears up the propaganda polluting our news, entertainment and education system. I will definitely be teaching my children these lessons and more as I read my way through his books.

Basically an advanced manners book that teaches us to get past our differences and learn how to have polite and respectful conversations with most anyone, no matter how big our differences are. Also planning on using this to talk to my teen!

As someone who has become just as reliant on food to heal and sustain while pushing physical limits, this was a wonderfully informative yet inspirational book to listen to. Lots of simple, yet detailed enough information on what role food has played in his life. Lots of insightful, meaningful detail on role running has been in his life.
Definitely recommend to both the newby & seasoned runner. For both health & Personal fulfillment.

My husband says the narrator sounds like a robot, but I heard it as an instruction book. She has some fascinating studies, & even good strategies. Unfortunately I got distracted by her over-detailed play by plays. A good book to listen to when you have other stuff to work on too.

Interesting short story. Plot set in reality, though Sci Fi. Enjoyed the logic infused story line.
Couldn't listen in front of my kids because of the swearing.

So nice how the narrators voice aligned with the voices of the characters from the shows I used to watch on BBC.

I love how they teach how the brain works. I will be using these techniques to help my oldest with issues from a high conflict divorce, and my younger kids. Everyone can learn from this book.
