I had a hard time getting in to the series at first. But halfway through the 1st book, I knew I'd eead the second one. And when second was done, I added 3 and 4, looking forward to the next one. I love the humor, the family, the drama and excitement.

Story
The enemy evolved. Now it’s my turn… I was dragged into the hills by the Infected, memories of that ordeal fading into a haunting blur. Now, I find myself their captive, bewildered by the fact that they spared my life. The unknown reasons behind their mercy loom over me like a chilling specter. As winter's merciless grip tightens, the icy landscape becomes as menacing as my captors. I'm unsure if my family presumes me dead or if they brave the snow-covered mountains in search of me. If it were Ian, I know he'd be out there, refusing to give up. But waiting for a rescue isn't an option ...

Good storyline, overall, but the virtual voice doesn't do any favors at all . The time, the mispronounced name, etc.

Good storyline. Cliffhanger ending.

A story of a single Mom with a severely disabled child that ends on a cliffhanger. About a quarter of the way in, I started getting into the story. But then right as the story ramped up, it ended. Good story and great dramatization.

Story
“The Heron” is the nickname a big-city accountant has attached to himself in his new home near San Diego, where he’s using the alias to avoid a hit man who may be after him. It seems a former client believes that The Heron has skipped town with several million dollars not his own. Don Winslow’s ensuing, entertaining yarn is by turns twisty, dark, and comical as we observe the delicate dance between the pursuer and the pursued.

Story
Our brains do their best to help us out, but every so often they can be real assholes - having meltdowns, getting addicted to things, or shutting down completely at the worst possible moments. Your brain knows it's not good to do these things, but it can't help it sometimes - especially if it's obsessing about trauma it can't overcome. That's where this life-changing book comes in. With humor, patience, science, and lots of good-ole swearing, Dr. Faith explains what's going on in your skull, and talks you through the process of retraining your brain to respond appropriately....

The last book was short, but the best. Love, loss, family and friendship. At first Ithought Katie was a weird and dark child, but really understood her character better later on. Suspense and zombie killing, not a lot gore like some books.
