Story
Twenty-four-year-old Saeris Fane is good at keeping secrets. No one knows about the strange powers she possesses or the fact that she has been picking pockets and stealing from the Undying Queen's reservoirs for as long as she can remember. But a secret is like a knot. Sooner or later, it is bound to come undone. When Saeris comes face-to-face with Death himself, she inadvertently reopens a gateway between realms and is transported to a land of ice and snow. The Fae have always been the stuff of myth, of legend, of nightmares… but it turns out they're real.

Story
For Callypso Lillis, the fae magic that now runs through her veins is equal parts curse and good fortune. While it bonds her to Desmond Flynn, her soul mate and the King of Night, it also leaves her newly vulnerable to the Thief of Souls, who wants to break the Otherworld … and Callie along with it. But it’s not just the Thief whose shadow looms over the fae realms. Des’s father, the previous King of Night, has returned from the dead, and he wants revenge on the son who sent him to the grave in the first place.

Story
Siren Callypso Lillis still wears the physical reminders of her time as Karnon’s captive, even after reuniting with soulmate Desmond Flynn, the King of Night. Not only that, but mounting evidence suggests the Thief of Souls, the being responsible for the disappearance of countless fae warriors, is still out there. Invited to an annual Solstice celebration, Callie and Des journey to the Kingdom of Flora to continue their investigation. But under the bright lights and striking blooms of the realm, new complications arise, ones that no amount of bargaining can undo.

First of all, love the FMC voice… don’t know why but her accent has become one of my favorites… and this shadow daddy too… the plot is interesting enough to keep me going but overall their love story is what I like the most… and is the main reason I’m holding on… I would like more detail in the description of events and all but it’s good enough to keep me going through the series

Nice cliffhanger, already getting the third one…
Such good story, even though I feel the MFC development is quite slow im still following it bc I feel it’s worth it, I do hope the next book is less slow burn… honestly expecting a lot and loving it after all.

Slow Building story but good

Slow building but good, it feels as if it is the beginning of what seems to be a very promising story… of course I’m getting the second book after I finish this review.
Like the story, like the characters, like the performance, honestly everything is feeling good up to this point… I hope it continues as well and my gut tells me that it will get better.

Love the story, but…
Reviewed: 07-08-24
Honestly if it wasn’t for the story I would’ve stoped hearing it… the male performance it’s just not for me… the unnecessary semi-stops and breathing noises and almost as if he was adding commas where there aren’t, it killed the vibe for me every time it was his turn… I would’ve preferred only the female POV or another male voice…

I loved the story and characters, the build up of everything… the female narrator was perfect but the male one, I’m sorry but it’s just not my type… the breaths, the stops, the reading just not for me or not for this type of story.

Thankful for the audiobook
Reviewed: 07-02-24
If it wasn’t for the audiobook I don’t think I would have finished it… I think it’s such a slow development and super slow burn story…
At some point, I felt the story got tangled and wasn’t sure about the main purpose of it. It has nice characters development And nice scenery description… I don’t think I will continue the series though.
