Admitting we don’t know is the first step to gaining wisdom. Government, religious organizations, and corporations have manipulated the masses of society since the beginning of time. Sadly, they always will. Learning their tactics is critical to having any chance of not being taken advantage of.

Story
The Addictive Brain is a fair and balanced investigation of addiction, backed by hard science and behavioral science. Most of us have probably seen the old antidrug commercial in which an actor compares your brain on drugs to an egg sizzling in a hot frying pan. That's a powerful image, but it doesn't tell us what actually happens when drugs enter your body and interact with neurochemical processes.

A tremendous resource to understanding addiction
Reviewed: 10-15-19
This will be helpful to anyone dealing with their own addiction or anyone trying to help other addicts. Understanding the processes at play within the mind and body is the critical first step. I’m much more compassionate as a result. It is extremely difficult to overcome any addiction. Educated support with the right tools is critical.

An incredibly thorough analysis of the history of our planet and the many creatures that have lived on it. The amount of detail can be overwhelming and maybe too much for the casual reader but the overall information I found fascinating and couldn’t stop reading. I would like to see an abbreviated version for those that don’t need as much detail.
