Historia
All in Voramis know the legend of the Hunter. Relentless. Immortal. Death walking. The greatest assassin who ever lived. Pay the master killer his due and the Hunter will execute any target, carry out any contract, no matter how impossible. But when the Bloody Hand crime syndicate harms the innocents under his protection, they foolishly make an enemy of the one man they can't afford to anger. The price of the Hunter's vengeance is high-paid in blood and eternal damnation. Not even an army of crooks, cutthroats, and demonic creatures of nightmare can stand in his way.

Not Peloquin’s best
Revisado: 09-11-24
Interesting storyline. But the fighting and numerous times the Hunter was on his last breath, got old quick. It seems there was a lot of repetitiveness to the plot. The characters had to say the same things over and over again. I think the Hunter was almost choked to death a good 45 times. By the end, it was just a slog to get through it. I’ve read other Andy Peloquin and this isnt his best.

Historia
Eight years after the world changed forever, Sanctuary and her surrounding settlements had settled into their new way of life. And with the events in Andorra a distant memory, they were safe...or at least they thought they were. As Leah recounts their highs and lows, the memories of that fateful day come flooding back. The day violence visited them from the sea in a way they could never have anticipated. The way in which their whole way of life was threatened, and she was forced to battle more than just the invaders to keep her people, her family, and herself safe.

Wow, So Much More GrislyThan Expected
Revisado: 07-19-24
Loved all the other stories. This one not so much. It seems like Ford spent more time detailing the grisly scenes and less time creating a believable ending. Disappointed.

Will only buy rosamund pike
Revisado: 10-26-23
The narration was phenomenal. Compared to the previous narrator, Rosamund Pike, it’s like a breath of fresh air. Her characters are real, the range of accents and voices. She uses is almost mind blowing. I hope she does the whole series, because I want to finish the series. The storyline is fantastic. The characters are deep, complicated, and surreal. This truly is one of the best epic fantasy series ever.

Language
Revisado: 07-31-23
There’s not much bad language but does the F-bomb really enhance the story? It was so out of place in such a well written story. I was drawn in, couldnt put it down. But the language , was it just for show? Other fantasy wrtiers create a whole set of curses that fit into the story lines culture. Was that to hard to do here?

Historia
The enemy unknowingly opened a portal to the Netherworld, and our world’s only wizard somehow managed to close it. Unfortunately, something got through. Something big. A dragon. Now Kaz Wolfe, with help from his dog Duke who is channeling the spirit of a wizard from ancient Babylon, and with no help from Azib the Cowardly Genie, must find the dragon before someone gets a cellphone video of the thing, and the world learns that magic is real. Or, you know, before the dragon eats someone.

Love Me Some Duke!
Revisado: 07-18-23
A talking dog was what first caught my attention in the promos for Book 1. But I had no idea how much I would come to love Duke and his owner Kaz in Book 2! I will listen to Book 2 over and over and laugh just as hard every single time Duke does or says some goofy thing.
And credit to Craig Alanson for writing a wonderfully supportive novel for Duke to star in! Cannot wait for Book 3. Can I have a treat now?

Historia
Miss Mildred Percy is a spinster. She does not dance, she has long stopped dreaming, and she certainly does not have adventures. That is, until her great uncle has the audacity to leave her an inheritance, one that includes a dragon’s egg. The egg—as eggs are wont to do—decides to hatch, and Miss Mildred Percy is suddenly thrust out of the role of “spinster and general wallflower” and into the unprecedented position of “spinster and keeper of dragons.” But England has not seen a dragon since…well, ever.

Funny and Charming
Revisado: 03-18-23
A lovely story with a lite hint of Jane Austin characters. The author’s wit and dry sense of humor was very enjoyable! I would love to hear the second one and hope the characters grow as strong as Fritz.

Historia
Books and Bug are polar opposites, despite their friendship. Rumors on the road speak of a hospital in Washing D.C. Leading a small group of survivors, including pregnant women, the two travel in earnest to provide the soon-to-be mothers a safe place to deliver. Bug–a natural, charismatic leader–refuses to leave anyone behind while Books–a pragmatic social outsider–wishes not to be responsible for the safety of others. Together, they're exactly what this group needs to survive. But DC isn't exactly the safe haven they hoped for.

Historia
For dinosaurs, it was a big rock. For humans: Coronal Mass Ejection (CME). When the Earth is hit by the greatest CME in recorded history (several times larger than the Carrington Event of 1859), the combined societies of the planet's most developed nations struggle to adapt to a life thrust back into the Dark Ages. In the United States, the military scrambles to speed the nation's recovery on multiple fronts including putting down riots, establishing relief camps, delivering medical aid, and bringing communication and travel back on line. Just as a real foothold is established in retaking the skies (utilizing existing commercial aircraft supplemented by military resources and ground control systems), a mysterious virus takes hold of the population, spreading globally over the very flight routes that the survivors fought so hard to rebuild.

Language is horrible
Revisado: 11-05-22
I wish there was a way to know the book has horrid language before I buy it. But what I REALLY wish is that the great stories like Commune would clean up their language. Just bc I’m an adult doesn’t mean I like hearing the F word 5,000 times a chapter.
