The mission is simple. Escort an emissary to an intergalactic peace summit. Try not to get in the way. Lt. Magnus and his 79th Recon Team have certainly handled worse, after all. But when an explosion rocks the tower and sends everyone into a panic, Magnus and his asset find themselves cut off from the rest of the team. Worse still, a dying alien chieftain gives them a priceless drive of intel, marking them for death. The mission has officially changed. With enemies on all sides, Magnus must do everything in his power to protect the emissary and escape the tower.

Great story, can't wait for more! Magic..
I love SF, with emphasis on "Science"; listened all x-force books twice over - just for fun. I was not so much into magic, always felt like a cheating: "I cannot come up with a good science, so, it's magic!" Story about Kaz really pulled me in, the guy does not give up, ever.
Can't wait to hear more. R.C. Bray really brings characters to life! I'm continuously amazed. Can't say I'm impressed with a cat voice though. Azib voice is just fantastic, I just see and hear the little guy in my head 😂

A must listen !
Craig Alanson has become one of my top favorite authors . His stories have brightened many a dull day , weekend and even Month . When I Binge listened to the Expeditionary Force series ! Humorous stories are a rarity in any stories and even your average Fantasy stories . An author that can compare with Anne McCaffrey ! I’m gladden he has chosen to resurrect Expeditionary Force . Yet I’m greedy and am looking forward to the next in this series !

Great second entry in new urban fantasy series
I read a lot of urban fantasy and science fiction. This series is a fun, light read with an excellent performance by RC Bray. Craig Alanson’s trademark humor fits well into a UF setting. I’m looking forward to the next installment!

Absolutely fantastic series with wonderful characters that you come to care about like family! Narrator is just wonderful and Duke is EVERYTHING!! I do love Boots too! Just funny, exciting and an all around BRILLIANT series! Woof woof!!

this was a fabulous sequel to the first book. very well written and RC Bray is terrific
I like the humor and other references throughout the book. great story! I'm moving on to book 3 now
