Even fun is scheduled. Which is why Abram, her brother’s best friend, is such an irritant. Abram is a talented guy, a supremely gifted musician, and has absolutely nothing figured out, nor does he seem to care.

A new favorite to connect them all

I highly recommend listening/reading Penny Reid's other books before listening/reading this one, because this book actually involves and mentions other characters from her different books! I was extremely happy when they merged with this stories main characters seamlessly. The story was (much like all her other books) supremely enjoyable, smart, and hilarious. I definitely recommend all to read/listen to all of Penny Reid's novels.

Do you love crying your eyes out and feeling like your heart is breaking? I'm very empathetic and this book had me crying so many times throughout. It has an amazing story that will make you feel love and heartbreak. I highly recommend reading/listening to this book with a hand full of tissues at the ready.

Great story, but...

I absolutely loved this story, like I love all of Lauren Blakely's books. However, the voice actress narrating was a bit distracting. She would read the beginning of the sentences and the characters parts just fine, but she would put too much emphasis on the last words of the sentences and last syllables. You know the reverend from The Simpsons? It reminded me of the way he spoke. They would speeKka. In such a wAYyu. That would emphasIIZze. The last woRDda. It was seriously distracting from the story.

So I am an avid reader and audio book listener. I always love Andi Arndt's audio performances, and when I saw that Scott Eastwood would be voicing the male protagonist I figured that the pair would be great together! Unfortunately, Scott Eastwood's performance was lacking and honestly a bit off-putting. I love Lauren Blakely, but Scott Eastwood did not do her character justice.

I absolutely LOVE these books, but I honestly believe this book should have been book #2.5... seeing that it gives away some VERY BIG spoilers to book #2!!! Thankfully this is how I ordered it (because I completely overlooked it by accident). Great books, and I can't wait to go through the whole series!!
