Story
Jiran is just a child when he receives shattered, imperfect memories of a past life. Nestled inside these emotionless visions is a magic very different to the density and mana he knows, the magic of science. The empire stands alone against the relentless beasts of Madra. Their only means of survival is harnessing the density that saturates her surface, a magic they cannot possibly understand. Will Jiran realize he holds the key to unlocking humanity's infinite potential before they are all wiped out?

This is a pretty nice take on the isekai. his memories from earth actually make a difference here.
However, the whole "I want to teach an obnoxious girl and make her powerful"-trope might make me give up on the series.

This story is solid and I enjoyed most things about it, but I have a few pet peeves.
I enjoy stories where someone from Earth wants up on another world but I hate it when it serves no purpose. here it's mentioned in passing that Gwen is from Earth but she doesn't use any Earth knowledge at all. We know nothing of her previous life and it's just pointless.
also, Gwen is clearly Gwen from league of legends - the author is walking a rather fine line to a lawsuit, I think.

Narration bothers me
Reviewed: 02-20-24
I don't really know how to rate this. There seems to be a good story here but I'm personally not a fan of the first person perspective - especially when all characters are written that way. I'm also not a fan of the MC finding true love (tm) before the book even start. But mostly I'm bothered by the narration. It's not bad but the narrator infuse way too much (for my personal taste) emotion into everything he say. it's a stylistic choice... I really don't like it, but perhaps you do.

This is well worth the credit.
Good story, good narration, good world building.
Not all of great though. All female characters want to sleep with the MC... I get that he's good looking but this is too much.
Also, you know when you play a computer game and get stuck with an escort Quest where you have to keep an obnoxious NPC alive even though they bumble around making noise, talking at you and being annoying even when you're trying to save their lives? This is what happens every time the MC team up with anyone.

Story
There are whole anthologies of stories out there about what humankind does when a game enters their world. But what about when they're living in one where a game arrived thousands of years before? What if they're the survivors of a bloody struggle, having fought for and earned their place on the planet? Tailyn Vlashich was a young nobody far away from all those grander issues. All he cared about was one thing: making his way through a harsh world where the emperor, evil foes, and an impartial god held sway.

Good with some problems

This is good.
Interesting world with decent magic system. Fine characters.
However, there's some problems IMO.
Firstly, why does the kid act like a horny teenager? He's 10! Secondly, he has no problem one-shotting hordes of enemies much more powerful than himself using a single lvl 1 card.
Thirdly... Seeing how he's a walking murder-machine why does everyone seem to be like: "Oh, you saved my life for the third time while I just sat here helplessly... Thanks I guess. Now, do what I tell you or feel the back of my hand, boy!!"?

I'm returning this!
Reviewed: 11-28-23
Sorry, but this is terrible - I don't understand how the rating on this is so high. I'm only at chapther two but I can't take any more of this.
First of all, I can't tell the characters apart because they more or less sound the same but worse than that is that they're awfully written - like caricatures of anime tropes.
But what really takes the cake is that they're all idiots - not just the MC but *all*. They're supposed to be experienced in dungeon raids but every single one of them is completely stumped when they encounter the fist simple "puzzle". I put that in qoutation marks because it's hardly a puzzle at all - they literally just have to follow two instructions. These people could literally not figure out how to pour water from a jug even if the instructions were on the bottom.
Do any of them figure it out, then? No... the MC just has "a hunch". What is his genius hunch then? it's that if you stand up you get killed instantly (it's good that they bring him along because the rest of the party couldn't figure that out after witnessing five party members dying like that)... and how does our resident genius decide to test his theory? You guessed it... By standing up!! And even when he tells them about his hunch they just shout insults at him because apparently they'd rather die than think for two seconds (to be fair the MC for some reason refuse to explain his hunch at all to these dimwits - he just tells them what to do). Seriously... how can anyone stand to listen to this?

Not a hero
Reviewed: 11-24-23
Sylver is the protagonist but he's most certainly not a hero. If you've seen "Dexter" you know what I'm talking about. I'll let him describe himself in his own words: "I'm selfish and greedy, and I care too little about other people to let their hopes and dreams stand in the way of mine".
If you can abide this, then the book is good.

I liked the story but at as others have mentioned there are some things that detracts:
The MC is supposed to pass as a teenager but he always (not a single slip of the tongue - *always*... Even when everybody constantly remind him) refers to other's as "lad", "young lad", "young miss", "child" etc.
It drives me crazy!
Also, I know he's very busy but he knows that a classmate is going to be killed and he doesn't spare a single thought as to how that might be prevented? No warning? Nothing?

I honestly don't know how to score this.
It's good and I enjoyed it. However, the are two things that ruin this genre: An MC who is too smart and one who is too stupid. in this case he's not supposed to be a tactical genius so some mistakes are in order... but he makes some really stupid decisions that really ought to get everyone killed but somehow doesn't.
minor spoiler:
Also he wins a fight that should be literally impossible to win - it makes it seem like levels don't matter (or rather: they only matter when it's convenient for the plot).

Tough to finish
Reviewed: 07-11-23
I'm having a really hard time finishing this book.
The narrator is trying his best but unfortunately he has to read what has been written.
How many time can you say "stupid lass" before it grates on you?
There seem to be the potential of a good story here but the way the characters talk (including their inner monologue) is just... Bad.
MC has been reincarnated so he has 200 years of knowledge to give him an advantage. But he has also been sent back in time so he know what will happen. Somehow he gains a cultivation technique that is better than everything else in this World. But wait... Let's also give him Access to "The System" that noone else has.
It's like this was written by an ai that had been told to read all things related to cultivation.
