Story
Running a small-town police force in the mountains of New Mexico should be a smooth, carefree kind of job. Sadly, full-time Sheriff - and even fuller-time coffee guzzler - Sunshine Vicram, didn't get that memo. All Sunshine really wants is one easygoing day. You know, the kind that starts with coffee and a donut (or three) and ends with takeout pizza and a glass of chardonnay (or seven). Turns out, that’s about as easy as switching to decaf. (What kind of people do that? And who hurt them?)

Story
America is in the thrall of a full-scale socioeconomic breakdown. The stock market plummets, hyperinflation destroys the value of the dollar, and the population, unprepared for hardship, panics. Practically overnight, the high technology infrastructure and chains of supply collapse and wholesale rioting and looting grip every city. Law enforcement, transportation, electricity, fuel, and medical supplies are all in the past now, as the country staggers beneath its own weight.

Twelve. Twelve of the deadliest beasts ever forged in the fires of hell have escaped onto our plane, and they want nothing more than to rip out the jugular of Charley Davidson and serve her lifeless, mangled body to Satan for dinner. So there's that. But Charley has more on her plate than a mob of testy hellhounds. For one thing, her father has disappeared, and the more she retraces his last steps, the more she learns he was conducting an investigation of his own, one that has Charley questioning everything she's ever known about him.

If you could sum up Seventh Grave and No Body in three words, what would they be?
Great series, I can listen to it again and again. Fresh outlook and perspective. I will enjoy this series for years, like the Piers Anthony "Incarnation", and the "Anita Blake" series. Great twists leaving you hanging on the edge of your seat, longing for more! Lorelei King brings the characters to life, she's an amazing narrator. She and Darynda Jones make a great pair!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Seventh Grave and No Body?
Just listening to the "Grim Reaper" coming into her role.
What about Lorelei King’s performance did you like?
The way she reads hits every character dead on, bringing them to life!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I listened straight through, twice!

I fully enjoyed listening to "Lightning". Dean Koontz, is on par with King, Straub, and other greats. This is a keeper. When I played it in my car with my teenage kids, they offered to pay for gas just to keep listening. They have been awakened to Dean Koontz through other down loads, Odd Thomas, Whispers, etc....and other writers too. When you can have the book in your lap, listening is just as good if not better!
