Ayn Rand's famous 1957 classic, Atlas Shrugged, has become more widely read and influential with each passing year, thanks in part to its brilliant dramatization of Rand's Objectivist philosophy and its celebration of self-reliance, integrity, rationality, and productive effort.

One of the Top Ten Books (STORY) ever written!
Reviewed: 09-30-24
Who is John Galt? You have to read the book to find out.
There is nothing I can say that hasn't been said before about this story. Everyone alive should read it - if not to agree with the positions taken - but to see what can happen if Government is allowed to act unimpeded.
Ms. Rand will go down in history (already has) as one of the Great Story Writers of All Time. This novel is one of the reasons why. A must read for many reasons.

Another Hannibal Lecter great story!
Reviewed: 09-30-24
I have read every Thomas Harris book. I have enjoyed them all. I have seen this movie.
Due to the nature of the "Red Dragon Character" the movie had a special appeal and allowed for some special effects that, while well described in the book, were very well shown in the movie.
I would recommend Listeners give the tape a "whirl" but it does get little bit tedious at times. As I look at the previous Reviewers ratings, I concur completely.
I do not want this review to deter anyone from getting the audio - it is just different than the movie.
BTW - I would very much like to be reincarnated as Hannibal in my second life.... Just saying.

With an unstable government, led by the Kim dynasty under absolute dictator Kim Jong Un, North Korea more closely resembles an organized crime ring than a real nation-state. Waste of your time on earth to listen to

As a Vietnam Vet and someone who appreciates life, I feel like I just lost some valuable time on earth having listened to this dribble. Real Marines and military Veterans do talk like the characters in this book did. The story was weak, the characters were idiots and I feel somewhat stupid having listened to 93% of the book before realizing I was wasting my life on earth by doing so. I hope you read this before listening to it and sincerely hope you did not have to pay for the book or tape.
