Though the Greek and Roman crewmembers of the Argo II have made progress in their many quests, they still seem no closer to defeating the earth mother, Gaea. Her giants have risen - all of them - and they're stronger than ever. They must be stopped before the Feast of Spes, when Gaea plans to have two demigods sacrificed in Athens. She needs their blood - the blood of Olympus - in order to wake.

Just one man’s opinion
Reviewed: 08-08-18
This is just one man’s opinion, but I had a hard time listening to the first Percy Jackson series because I was very late to the party and read it when I thought I was too mature to read such children’s tales. Now that I’m a little older I’ve realized two things that have both helped me love this series. One: you’re never too old to enjoy borderline cartoonish books. Two: this continuation series is noticeably intended for an older audience. The story is more complex, the characters are slightly less invincible, there is more internal and relatable character struggles and development and I think it’s overall better executed. Way to go rick for giving us another fantastic series and one that I’d love to read to my kids one day!

Story
We've all had experiences with two dramatically different types of leaders. The first type drain intelligence, energy, and capability from the people around them and always need to be the smartest people in the room. These are the idea killers, the energy sappers, the diminishers of talent and commitment. On the other side of the spectrum are leaders who use their intelligence to amplify the smarts and capabilities of the people around them.

A book that reflects the actual principles of leadership. What are the basic assumption of a good leader? They believe their people are smart and can figure it out. What have we all dealt with in bosses we didn’t get along with? Why are we not getting the support we need as leaders? HOW can I get more productivity from my people without micromanaging? It’s a great book.

I figured out that this book is Harry Potter. They even have Ron and Hermione and drako. This series is amazing because it makes a connection from mythology to our imagination in a whole new way. Loved the delivery of this book as well. A great and entertaining story.

Story
Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school...again. No matter how hard he tries, he can't seem to stay out of trouble. But can he really be expected to stand by and watch while a bully picks on his scrawny best friend? Or not defend himself against his pre-algebra teacher when she turns into a monster and tries to kill him? Of course, no one believes Percy about the monster incident; he's not even sure he believes himself.

For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison.

Just enough closure...
Reviewed: 05-26-17
The book itself is amazingly written. Complete originality, curios depth, and encouraging character development make it a fantastic read. But the great thing about the ending is that there is just enough closure that if you didn't want to continue, you would be free to do so without overwhelming curiosity... but only for a little while. I can't wait to finish the series.

The Thank You Economy is about something big, something greater than any single revolutionary platform. It isn't some abstract concept or wacky business strategy—it's real, and every one of us is doing business in it every day, whether we choose to recognize it or not. It's the way we communicate, the way we buy and sell, the way businesses and consumers interact online and offline.

Expected a 10, got a 9
Reviewed: 05-23-17
In comparison to Gary's other books, this one was a 9 out of 10. Content was good and his style was great. Fun to listen to even if you're not focusing. However, I wouldn't recommend this book over his other books. His other books have the style, the passion, the Gary vee-ness that you expect. This one simply doesn't have as diverse content as his other books. He talks about customer service, then nails it in hard.
