Aja Minor: A Psychic Crime Thriller Series

Aja Minor has led a life of misfortune. At birth, she was dropped and now sports a scar on her face from the resulting laceration. At the dawn of her adolescence, Aja discovers some unsettling effects she has on certain people. They get sick to their stomachs or recoil in pain in her presence. These episodes are accompanied by overwhelming bouts of self-consciousness. To Aja, these powers are a curse.

Aja Minor goes undercover. The target, an international child trafficking ring. When her cover is blown, the mission and her life are in jeopardy. Fresh off of the Peace Sign Killer case, Aja Minor is asked to join a joint CIA-FBI task force based in New York City. There, she joins a team whose aim is to take down the Fountain of Youth network - an international child trafficking and exploitation ring. When Aja is asked to go undercover for the first time, all doesn’t go as planned.

Teen heroine Aja Minor returns to crack the case of a spike in assaults and missing children only to have the huntress become the hunted. When the joint CIA-FBI task force that brought down the Fountain of Youth network is disbanded, Aja Minor is devastated. She doesn’t want to go back to FBI Academy. Nor does she want to live apart from Marsha, her partner, and CIA counterpart.

Aja’s frustration boils over when a new child trafficking network is discovered. She feels like the team is fighting a losing battle. For each predator they get off the streets, 10 more take their place. But when Aja suggests what sounds like an outlandishly impossible solution, she is surprised when the powers that be agree to marshal the necessary resources to investigate its viability.

Aja knowingly sacrificed herself to save 20 girls from the Spider’s Web child trafficking network. She also gave herself up thinking it would free Marsha and two other SHIELD team colleagues. Unfortunately, she never should have trusted that the Black Widow would hold up her end of the bargain.

Aja narrowly escaped dying, being incarcerated as a traitor, and suffering a catastrophic rift in her relationship with Marsha. All just to have the Black Widow avoid capture, pivot, and sell her trafficking operation to some unknown U.S. billionaire. Complicating matters, three U.S. Senators who tried to eliminate SHIELD through budget cuts are missing. Fueling rumors that they may somehow be involved in the billionaire’s nefarious operation. And then there’s the not-so-little matter of Aja’s former paramour joining the team to work on the SPIDA project.

Aja and her SHIELD colleagues successfully rescued 50 trafficked children in their last mission. But it was not without significant losses or loose ends. So, while Cybersecurity Specialists try to restore SHIELD’s hacked network, Aja and Marsha take some well-deserved time off to recover and recharge. Unfortunately, criminals who prey on children never take a vacation, and while on hiatus, they inadvertently discover a new threat in a most unusual setting.
