Very enjoyable debut cozy.

Likable characters, set in Illinois where I’m at so very relatable totally enjoyed this book

Keeps moving so keeps me listening

This author has been refreshing to listen to. First series was a total class act.
This one treaded on thin ice a couple of times in terms of pandering sex and politics but was still good and left me wanting to listen to the second book.

Refreshing family love and support

I have read all the comments relating to why readers enjoyed this book, and how they connect with the mystery of solving the murders, but I was drawn in for another reason..
It was refreshing to find a author that wrote of the strength of a loving family, living in this era of divorces, drugs etc. has shown that we still do have caring, responsible families that help each other and contribute to friends and communities.
Most of the stories I have available start out with a divorced person that has all kinds of problems, children to support etc. looking for the next relationship. Boring but real in this modern day.
All in all, the author wrote a very interesting and well written story and I really liked the narrator. Buy this book and see if you can figure out who the villain is.
I am on to the next adventure.

A new take on the usual cozy mystery

I especially enjoyed the complications that ensued and take on a life of its own as the heroine struggles to untangle a mystery and a budding romance.

Loved it

Julia Buckley has crafted an amazing beginning to her Undercover Dish Mystery Series. The characters are well developed and there’s an intriguing mystery to solve.
Ann Marie Lee gave an excellent performance as she brought the storyline to life and gave each character their own distinct voice.
I highly recommend this book to cozy mystery fans and look forward to the next in this wonderful series.

Narrator

The narrator was good but I don’t think she’s the right voice for the character. It was hard to get past.

Very interesting , she had a very discriptive Voice

I liked the story and I want to listen to #2 today . The whole story with her baking for
the town was a very interesting idea.

Excellent start to a new cozy series

I enjoyed getting to meet these characters, especially the main. I think they were well developed, and I liked the fact that the female main seemed to behave in a much more sensible and intelligent way than many of them do in these types of books. There are a couple more titles in this series and they keep getting better. I would recommend this to anybody who likes a good cozy mystery.

The expression of the narrator.

I liked everything about this book. It was funny and light-hearted while still being a murder mystery. I did not know who did it until the end. I really love Julia Buckley and will continue to listen to her books. hrt narrator is so engaging.

Smokers voice

Everyone sounds like they are senior 50+ year 2 pack a day smokers!! It 100% takes away from the story!! I couldn’t focus on the story bc of the voices she uses for everyone.
